No this is what happens when morons look at losses instead of wins or SOS.
So many idiots on here repeat the same braindead trope about how a 2-loss and now 3-loss team "shouldn't make it".
The reality is the SOS should be the heaviest determining factor in rankings and there is no way you can rank a team who hasn't defeated or heavily challenged a team in the top 25 anywhere near the top 25.

Waving their banner all over the place.

People didn't want the best teams and that's why they demanded a playoff.

Its sad. Not entertaining for fans and Oregon players are doing nothing but risking injury. I would much rather see them play Texas or Vandy.
What “everybody wanted” was to the best 12 teams in a playoff. This ain’t that

No I do remember. People wanted a playoff with the best teams. Conference champions is a dumb concept bc the conferences are severely uneven with different levels of talent and prestige.
Get rid of conference champions and just have the top 12 teams regardless of how they did in their conference make the playoffs. Obviously if they are in the top 12, then most of those teams likely won or made the title game in their conference (SEC and Big 10). All other conferences are shite.

The 12 team playoff would be awesome...if we didnt have DEI teams in it. Id be glued to the TV if Vandy or ND were playing Oregon right now
I'm with you but again, there was so much of if you don't win your conference, you shouldn't be in.
If this is adhered to, guess what you get? JMU and Tulane in your playoffs
Yeah but we didnt operate that way. People did complain about it...but we put the most deserving teams in the 4 team playoffs regardless of whether they won their conference or not.
Its only now that we do this. If it were 10 team power conferences where the teams all played each other...mayyybe then What we are doing now is dumb and I share zero blame for what university Presidents and ESPN collectively decided on

No more G5 teams, period. Nobody wants to watch this trash.
Posted on 12/20/25 at 8:41 pm to scottydoesntknow
Agree. The problem is JMU would steam roll LSU
Posted on 12/20/25 at 8:43 pm to scottydoesntknow
It doesn't matter, Vandy wouldn't win out

Your obsession with LSU is not remotely funny or entertaining. Whatever is going on in your idiotic brain needs to just stay there and not be shared.

Bitch all you like but this is what everyone said they wanted back in the 2010's.
Nobody wanted or asked for shite teams to get in and get pummeled.
People wanted a playoff. Few wanted 12 teams but nobody would be upset if they were the actual best 12 teams and not Make-A-Wish charity cases for programs that get scheduled as early season warmups.

Amen to this. If the powers that be wanna get a coalition together and appoint a commissioner like Saban or someone of high stature in charge, I’d be all for it. They would need protection from frivolous lawsuits like the NFL has but it can be done
Posted on 12/20/25 at 8:54 pm to scottydoesntknow
It’s a horrible advertisement for college football. I’m not much of an NFL fan, but I’m watching Packers/Bears instead of the stupid Oregon/JMU game,
