I love all this. It’s what makes college football fun. But the bottom line is we’ll all get to watch the playoffs play out. Last year we all watched it and only SEC fans pretend it never happened. We also watched Michigan dry hump Bama two years ago and end the Saban era (I was rooting for Bama as a southern guy).
So, we can all call the BIG slow boring football but they’ve owned the sport for awhile now just like the SEC and Clemson use to own it.
Y’all better be praying Kirby can get the SEC past Indy and OSU otherwise we’ll have another 12 months of SEC denial.

I doubt it. One of the most consistently good-great teams since the 60s.
A few NCs mixed in here and there. But, they are always a solid team.
LOTS of teams would be content with that alone. In the current era, their money and resources seems to support their continued success.
They can't help the ups and downs of their conference foes. They typically schedule a good OOC game every year. I imagine they are happy enough, and given the CFP rankings, they will continue to position themselves well for title contention

They still have 12 million people there. So I don’t know where they’re all coming from. The steel mills are dead, same as in cities like Chicago and Pittsburgh. Real estate and finance and maybe government jobs are holding up their economy
