Tua is gonna rock the house this year. Luckily for you Florida will not play him while he is at Alabama.

Would have been thrown. The guy was on Najees back. But why throw it when you can stick your hands in the air?

quote:

Ridley is in the slot on the right. Najee Harris (#22) is to the left of Tagovailoa, who sends Harris out wide left. Tagovailoa looks to Ridley right away on a slant, but the corner is in good coverage, and there’s a safety sitting right there. Fortunately, the freshman doesn’t force a pass. He scrambles out as the left side of the line collapses. Tagovailoa never stops looking to the end zone, though; and he rifles a throw while on the run. In a game of inches, Tagovailoa just gets the ball past a defender’s outstretched hand; and Ridley catches it. I’m not sure if Tagovailoa was going for Ridley or Harris; either way, it ended up working out.

The post you're responding to didn't look like a troll to the rest of us.

This is hope, not fact.

The Bama sidewalks are really out in force today.

Now we are mentioning Tua with the likes of Tom Brady and Peyton Manning.

This is amazing stuff. Really.

Yeah, that's kind of silly

He's more Steve Young 2.0

I can't wait for all of the excuses and the melting that is going to take place once you idiots realize that Tua is an elite QB. The most accurate QB in CFB. Just wait.

except Tebow earned his hype before he got it.

Not any more than Tua. Tebow was on the first high school football broadcast in ESPN history. And I believe how school was mediocre. But he was a 5 star home schooled Christian kid that had the boy next door look. He got hyped before he earned anything.

But he definitely lived up to the hype. Thank God Shula didn't get him.

Half a game at crunch time on college football’s biggest stage, not mop up duty versus the College of Charleston.

Nope. No flag was thrown. If Ridley doesn't make the play, ball goes over to UGA.

No flag was thrown because the ball never reached the intended receiver. Had Ridley not been there then the ball would have hit Najee in the numbers yet most likely broken up because of interference...the flag would have been thrown...regardless if it wasn't thrown that would have been an awful miss call. Not Tua's fault. He still put the ball on the money.

If you know football and what to look for then you'll be able to tell. We've seen him in a pressure situation vs a good defense before...we know how that turned out. Name one former elite college QB that could have done what Tua did that night as their freshmen selves?

They have to. They have done put Tua in with the likes of Payton and Brady after just one half of football against a team that had already been outted by Auburn a few weeks earlier. They blocked out the sack and perfectly thrown balls Tua made to the UGA players that were dropped because it hurts their fantasy.

Their posts in this thread alone proves if Tua does anything less than win the Heisman and a NC this year he is the most overrated player of our lifetime.

It wasnt pressure (it was a go do your best we are losing situation) and UGA gave the game to him by dropping the picks and let a WR get wide open for him to sling it up to after him taking a 15 yard sack. The odds of every team doing that for him his career are slim to none.

I'm just excited to watch him play.

I think most of us have pretty reasonable expectations for him.

Won't know until the season plays out.

Hate to say it, but so far it has been Jeremy "Backwards Pass" Johnson.

Not on this site, that honor belongs to Joe Burrow.
