This is what Saban was talking about. Before we wanted more explosive plays in the passing game and now when we get it we all want to go back to the power running game. Tua runs an RPO offense. In this offense it's tougher on the O line. They still can improve but that is part of the reason. Also, Tua sees the slant when an extra defender crowds the box and he will let it rip. Back in the day(as Saban said above) we would call a run and it was a run no matter what.

He didn't make many plays at all vs Clemson...he was pretty bad tbh. The only reason we beat Clemson with Hurts last season is because Clemson had their own JH in Kelly Bryant.

I've said it all along...we can't win without the passing threat. This team would be COMPLETELY different without Tua. Everyone claims Jalen has gotten better but I disagree. He has regressed ever since Lane has left and his confidence is at an all time low. His short game accuracy is better but he still can't read a defense and cannot throw the ball deep. His running ability isn't the same either...seemed to be a much bigger threat in 2016. He's bulked up too much.

Why do you care? This is great news. Auburn will not be able to move the ball with a Kelly Bryant. He couldn't do it with a better team around him in Clemson so why would anyone care if he joined an inferior team? CFB is going away from running only QBs. You gotta be able to throw it.

Not so sure about that. Both played against each other in the Sugar Bowl and Bryant played against a better defense. Bryant looked like the better player. Jalen is an overrated runner. I'd honestly take Bryant right now. I'd take Jalen from 2016 if that were possible...Jalen in 2018 has zero confidence.

LSU has never been relevant until Saban arrived there. After he left they were able to hire a big name due to the talent they had and they were able to ride that wave for a while. Bama will still have talent whenever Saban leaves which will make it easier to hire a big name. I don't expect Bama to continue this level of ridiculous success but I would hope that we can still pull top 5 classes and compete for conf titles. Just don't fall off a cliff...

I told you Saban was going to let it fly this year early and then finish teams with the run game(need to get better with that obviously). Saban is going to run whatever offense best suits his team. He has a basic philosophy but he's not stubborn like Harbaugh.

LSU was never relevant until Saban came. I swear some of you guys are flat out demented. LSU has never been ANYTHING until the GOAT came to your corndog university. Les rode that wave of talent and stayed relevant but eventually it all crumbled and now you are slowly vanishing. Saban couldn't wait to get the hell out of red stick. Now he's where he is happy. Bama will always be relevant. The history of the sport didn't begin in the early 2000s you idiots. LSU is slowly fading away and after you finish 8-4 this year you will finally start to understand. Alabama gets great players all over the nation. Louisiana just happens to be another stop.
