Australian pro day are y'all serious?? Why does he need to go to an Australian pro day it doesn't make any sense. Really think about it.

I think the NIT was going to give LSU a spot until they found out Simmons wasn't going to be there.

However, if Hornsby hadn't got hurt they may have gotten that NIT bid.

Either way I don't care. All college teams should watch out for one and done BB players. Let them play for any unknown team so they can dominate and get ready for the NBA.

Isn't that what Simmons did?

i doubt any NBA team is going to go to Aus. when the season is still going on. I doubt he can have a pro day unless it fits in with the NBA schedule

Oh yeah, how are the scouts ever going to get away during the season?

Hope I am wrong, but I see another Manziel or Russell in the making with him. Not so much the partying, but lack of desire to get any better. Unless he gains 50 pounds before next October, the big men in the NBA are going to beat the chit out of him like a drum

Dmn, seems to have checked out a while ago while trying to play to not get hurt.

Pro leagues don't give a dmn about how kids enter the league, but I would have to question character if this is true. Wow.

I could see him having his pro day in AUS. But it wouldn't be for a couple months at least.

If he was set on coming home, with him being the presumptive #1 pick and a sure top 5 regardless of workouts it would make sense to make a dozen execs come to him instead of flying to the west coast for a workout.

If the top prospect were from China we'd see most of the lottery teams booking tickets to Shanghai

He was never playing in the NIT.

Neither was LSU, though, right?

If so, what a disaster the whole Simmons/LSU/college thing has been.

If he were from China he wouldn't have been playing high school and college ball in the US for the past three years. Ben is already here. Yao wasn't.

People don't realize just how fricking long it takes to get to Australia. Ha, I'm sure he just hopped on a private Leer out of Nashville and scooted right on over to the down under.

It's already Tuesday in Australia. Does this mean the rumor wasn't true?

LSU is not playing in the NIT because they feared that they would not be selected to play in the NIT, therefore electing to attempt to save face.

The Australia thing was secondary to my question.

I was more asking if he'd just left the school/team without any notice while the season was still ongoing?

I agree about electing to not play trying to avoid more embarrassment. It was totally to save the little face left this year...and it's slowly disappearing

LOL y'all really think he's gonna have his pro day in a foreign country during the NBA season coming right off a 15 hour flight?

Are you saying scouts can't fly? GM's and scouts don't do anything related to their teams playing their games that can't be missed to see one of the top players in the draft.

You think that is the biggest question about the story? No I am saying Ben isn't gonna hold the biggest workout of his life walking right off a transoceanic flight.
