I said he’s not pulling in Top 5 classes like Ed O was.
#6 last year. #10 this year.
Seems like #facts to me
I have to go to class now. Squabble amongst yourselves

OL and WR recruiting has been excellent.
I am not too worried about the offense. probably a step back but should still be pretty good.
Defense needs a lot of work.

Ed O's Top 5 classes never lasted here, we had 38 scholarship players on board by the time Kelly got here. It's great to recruit well, but if you lose half of them before their 3rd year than what good is that?
Yep. Part of recruiting is keeping those guys on your team.
O also star chased. Some of the highest recruiting ranked players on this team are massive busts.

Ed O signed two #4 classes, and almost none of those guys made it to their 3rd year.
He also signed a #15 class in 2018 that was probably more like a #25 class by the time LSU picked up that trophy in January 2020.

Sure
We may as well just stop playing football & take advice from a program that was shite until about 3 years ago.

Yet he hasn’t lost more than two games since his first year. Not really the same as regularly having 4-loss seasons is it?
Smart doesn't have that many years as a HC in his career. If he's a HC for 20 or so years, he'll have plenty of 4 loss seasons. Saban had plenty of them before coaching at LSU. It comes with the territory.
I was born in 1975 and I've only seen UGA win 2 titles. I wasn't watching football at 5.

So with both titles coming the past two years, just imagine that. All the talent that has passed through UGA and into the NFL in that time and UGA just won the 1st and 2nd title I've witnessed in my lifetime. The current success your program is having is much deserved.
Chances are Kirby won't sustain the level he's currently at. LSU fans have been where you're at. We've been there with consistently great recruiting classes, tons of elite NFL guys getting drafted yearly, and it just seeming as if it'll never end. UF has been there. Bama has had the longest run of that type of success in the modern era. Plenty of schools have been there....until they weren't.

He had no more than 2 losses in each of his last 4 seasons at Notre Dame.

While I truly think this is a troll thread (I mean what on here isn’t), I’ll play along. This notion that LSU has vastly underachieved this year really is kind of silly. They have lost to three teams that are all in the top 10, with all three of those on the road (the FSU game was technically a neutral site, but I was there in Orlando and the crowd was 80-20 FSU). All three games were highly competitive if you honestly look at it; LSU was actually ahead at halftime of the FSU game and that game really flipped on its head when Nabors slipped on his route and FSU got the interception and short field and went up two scores. While the defense has been historically bad, and there really is no justifiable excuse for it to be THIS bad, there are at least some mitigating factors. Your best DLman got hurt for the year and the guy who was supposed to be a stud (and was a projected 1st round pick on every mock I saw before the season) has turned out to be an absolute bust. The leader in the secondary was found to have brain cancer and lost for the year. The two guys they thought would be the starting corners have essentially been kicked off the team and the the true freshman who looked pretty good got hurt and is gone. Now a lot of this has been exacerbated by poor coaching in my opinion and clear misses in recruiting and the transfer portal, but again LSU has only lost to three top 10 teams on the road. If the season concludes with an ugly loss to Florida or A&M then I think you can say the team underachieved.

A laughable statement
Georgia is
• 82-10 over the last 7 seasons
• 38-1 over the last 3 seasons
• on a 26 game winning streak
LSU’s best 7 season stretch:
75-17 (2005-11)
LSU’s best 3 season stretch:
34-6 (2005-07)
LSU’s longest winning streak:
19 in a row (1957-59)
In modern era: 16 in a row (2018-19)
So no, LSU has never been at Georgia’s current level

Must be a long walk to your "class". Have to admire your dedication to your story, but you have to be the oddest middle-aged guy on the board.
