So South Carolina just dropped their home opener to Miss State and with their schedule I don’t know that Shane Beamer doesn’t get fired this year.

That said, what if Silverfield made a phone call to a familiar face in Kendall Briles to replace Cramsey at OC?

I personally liked Briles’ offense, but maybe I’m crazy. Something has to change on the offense though

Generally you want to change for the better, maybe beat your head against a wood door instead of a brick wall for a while.

Honestly a good question but I think it’s cause they black listed his daddy

His offense was explosive until you got to the red zone. Then he called something cute which with cost yards or possession. Also killed the defense, spending tons of time on the field.

But is it better than what we have now?

I’d take that over what we have now. Also let’s put into perspective that while that man was here we went 3-7 vs an all sec schedule (really 4-6 because of the backwards spike against Auburn), 9-4, 7-6. A lot better than we’ve been since he left.

I’d go a step farther than your idea. I’d offer the man the head coach spot. He’d take it and it would be better than what we have now

Cramsey sucks.

For some reason has tried to make KJ purely a pocket passer.

There’s no way to know. One thing we do know is that Briles didn’t want the job, right? He burned bridges with the way he left, didn’t he?

If Briles burned bridges when he left us, we need to keep looking.

We need to focus on getting an AD worth a shite first anyway. We are going to have Silverfield at least through next year. Yurachek doesn’t need to be the one who chooses his replacement.

Now if he goes 1-11 then that would makes things interesting.

Hopefully he wins this Saturday.

Uhhh, Kind Of... but not really. Dude, it was Sam Pittman and the writing was honestly on the wall.

Look what happened next, ENOS envy, then Petrino with Sam out of the door..

I would say he improved his situation from where it would have been when Sam jumped into the fray too often in the OC handbook...

Then I would look at Briles if he’s interested. We should be looking if we are not.

Firing a coach in year one, even after one year, is simply throwing gasoline on a dumpster fire. Get rid of the AD. Restructure the BOT. Make some hard decisions about who really wants a competitive football program, and send anyone who is not personally invested(like the Utah alum marketing guy) packing.

Then look for actual improvement next year. If there isn’t any, start the coaching search as soon as possible during the season. Find your guy, be willing to wait until he is comfortable leaving, and make a professional move after season 2.

Arkansas needs an AD that is a good communicator that can unite boosters in this state.

Someone that can raise money so that Silverfield doesn't need to spend 75 percent of his time doing it by himself.
