If LSU has 2 losses going into the Governor’s reelection attempt he will lose the race. This team will be playoff or bust especially if they get Ole Miss’ players who just did it this year.

Or just better coaching and development of the O-Line. We’ll still have some highly recruited OL on the roster.

Don’t know how much they are since their entire offensive coaching staff is in Baton Rouge right now.
They called a good game Saturday.

My only expectation is that we’ll have a proven HC who focuses on his job.
That is laughable. What has Lane ever won?

A lot of games at Ole Miss. Rebel fans have been bragging about it for years.

Honestly, yes. That is indeed the expectation. I would say playoffs as well, but the schedule is brutal. But, if it does not happen, I would not say it is a fail by "any measure" as its only year 1.
I mean, we had a shite team this year and it was a one score game on the road against Ole Miss' best team in 60 years. I fully expect to beat them in 2026.

I don't know why several of my fellow Tiger fans feel like this upcoming season is playoff or bust.
I'm not expecting we make the playoffs next year. There are a lot of unknowns currently, especially on offense. We have no QB, a horrid offensive line, we're losing a few wide receivers.....etc.
I'm hoping for improvement from 7-5, but I'm not expecting playoffs at all, and I won't be disappointed in not making it. I just want to see my Tigers heading in the right direction, even if it takes a few years.

Just like what fans were saying need a couple of years. BK 2.0? Looks like it.

I don't think so. BK used LSU as a retirement plan and was more interested in his golf game and cheating on his wife. I think Lane wants to make a (better hopefully) name for himself and will actually try. We'll see.

If Lane doesn't win 9 games next season it will be a major disappointment. Especially considering all the hype that was generated about his hire to LSU. I think the Ole Miss game isn't as big of a deal to LSU fans than Lane winning 9 games.

A couple conference championships and 7 seasons with at least 10 wins, mostly at schools that don’t produce either of those.

Bruh, we don't even know who our quarterback is going to be, much less the rest of the roster. The LSU fan expectations right now are excitement for the portal, then we'll see how it goes after spring ball.

Could see LSU starting 7-1 before the bye. Tigers will BEAT ole miss at the vaught.

Kiffin rebuilt this ole miss team in ONE offseason. Had to replace 18-20 starters. LSU will have a better base for him to start with over what rebs had heading into the '25 season.

NEITHER happens in '26.
Posted on 12/23/25 at 10:45 am to NaturalBeam
LSU took that much better roster to last play of the game. Tigers scored first and held lead till 5 minutes to go in the half. Then SU outscored the rebs in 2nd half.

My expectations right now for next season is 10 wins and a playoff appearance. In the NIL era, that's the way it is. There's no such thing as a bare cupboard anymore because the cupboard no longer exists. Many of your best players are one-year rentals. If we fail to make the playoffs, I will be disappointed.

Everybody and I mean everybody would have missed on all those OLine recruits if they as bad as they played last year.
Posted on 12/23/25 at 10:53 am to SidewalkTiger
Our schedule isn’t as hard as it could have been. Clemson is down bad, Ole Miss will be gutted
Aggies, Vols, Bama, Texas is the gauntlet, and we get 3 of those at home.
I think 10-2 should be the goal next season

Month of Nov is brutal. Sept and Oct not so much. Could see LSU 7-1 heading into bama game. Tigers have 5 SEC games before bye week. Three have NEW coaches, om, KY and Aub. a7m is the BIG one. The 5th team is State.
Most people don't realize how good a job Blake did with this defense. Tigers will be just as good in '26. Return a solid core at all 3 levels.
Offense NO concerns. We now have the BEST in the business running the show.
