Maybe, but 15 win seasons sure do happen more often at LSU than bama.
Oh yeah, once in every 120 years like clockwork.

You seem to celebrate being fiscally irresponsible. How poor are you?
It’s not fiscally irresponsible to pay your coach more money after an SEC championship game appearance. In fact every other team except for LSU does it. You guys asked for money back. How do you imaging this info got out? I suspect BK’s agent leaked the info to the media.

Whatever you say mulkey pronoun.

Don’t let him try to derail the thread and take away from the fact that LSU is officially now the most trailer trash program in the entire SEC(maybe the entire country).

Honestly I do not see the issue here. It was an honest mistake and both parties are working together to rectify the situation.

Lest they forget:

Ed Orgeron’s 2021 salary will be less than originally scheduled. Orgeron is one of many athletic department employees taking a pay cut for next year as LSU struggles with budget deficits because of the coronavirus pandemic. The school said Thursday that it’s expecting an $80 million projected shortfall due to COVID-19 and is asking all coaches and employees that are on contracts to take a voluntary 5 percent pay cut as some staffers are being laid off. “As part of this plan, coaches and other employees with contracts will be asked to voluntarily reduce their annual salary by 5% in 2021,” LSU said. “Athletics Director, Scott Woodward, Head Football Coach, Ed Orgeron, and others have already agreed to participate. In addition to this compensation reduction plan, the Department made the difficult but necessary decision to restructure certain functions and eliminate several positions.”

Yes he got the bonus that was already promised in his contract. Where’s his contract extension? Name the last SEC coach to make an SEC championship game and not get one. I dare you to try.

OP is kind of a dumbass.

I can’t wait for the Stetson Bennett melt threads

The UGA fans know he sucks and Kirby is blowing this thing again. I can’t wait to watch him throw 3 picks from my seats in Lucas Oil and then return here to see the UGA fans blasting his sorry arse again.

Where is Boutte going to play this year?

It’s definitely not going to be LSU
How great is it to see the LSU fans so excited rant?

We know what’s coming for them but they seem to have no idea. 4-1 to 6-6 by the end of the year.
UT vs Bama is going to happen twice this year. UGA Will back door into the playoffs
Ole Miss is the only shot at a loss for Bama in the regular season
When Bama backdoors our way into the playoffs how bad is the place going to melt?
I warned all you Bama haters last week that we would have the stars align!

I’ve already responded to this. He is incorrect. The amount the university pays is normally way lower than the actual contract. The booster clubs at SEC schools that paid the bulk of the contract are private not public. No other team in the SEC would’ve asked for the money back.

If my accounting department accidentally overpays a salaried employee, I am certainly going to either have the employee give the money back or deduct it from future pay. I don’t know what business you are running, but I suspect almost everyone would do the same thing as LSU.

A very small amount of the salary is paid by the school. The rest, at most universities, is paid by a booster club. So no you don’t have to recoup it
That might be true economically, i.e. some boosters pledge to contribute amounts to the program to cover, but the legal contract is between a state-run institution and the individual coach. As such the payments are subject to public scrutiny and state audit.
