Is there a scenario that neither Les nor Gus is on the hot seat tomorrow night?

The winning coach won't be on a hot seat after the game, but is there a case where the losing coach comes out OK? Like a triple overtime thriller, game for the ages?

I prefer to imagine another 3-2 game. Where both end up on the hot seat afterwards.

Unless they beat Auburn like 59-0, Les will still be on the hot seat, but the schism between sunshine pumpers and those who want Miles gone will be even more pronounced.

Only was is for the refs to be involved in the outcome. No fanbase in the history of sports loves crying about the refs more than the LSU Corndogs. So if they have that when they lose, LSU is happy.

Yeah. Triple overtime loss, but credit for that only matters if the season recovers.

Otherwise it's just another loss

Yes, if the loser gets fired right after the game.

Gus could afford a loss more so than Les Miles. Gus' buyout is just way to much. And he has better games ahead. Ya know.....Auburn isn't tanking like a Post-Cam Newton Gene Chizik. They will be fine. I personally think they're making a mistake to fire him this early.

LSU, on the other hand, sees possible losses near November as it is. A loss to Auburn just adds fuel to the fire. By the time we'd get to 3-4-5 losses.....Les is gone.

LSU plays a great game but is screwed by the refs at the end and lose a heartbreaker. Everybody wins.

Les is gonna be on the hot seat regardless of tomorrow's outcome. This LSU team was a top 5 legit contender going into this game. You're job doesn't become safe after beating a 1-2 AU team.

IF Les loses he is done, may not get fired until end of season but done

IF Gus loses- he needs some big wins down the road to save his job

Well, let's think this through. Both are on the hot seat now. If nothing changes, both will be on the hot seat after the game. There is no way to tie. So for one of the coaches, the situation will be worse than today where he is already on the hot seat.

No. Definitively no.

Both teams find an offense and one losses by a missed PAT.
