again...dude you don't have to sell me...I think Bama is a clear cut number 2. Try to sell the rest of the country on the game.
They WILL use the conference champion angle, then the rematch angle. The polls are fluid and if OSU pulls it off (especially impressively) you bet your arse by the end of the broadcast mushberger and Herbie are gonna be clamoring for them to get in to take on "the mighty SEC" The rest of the nation will be happy to fall in line.
Can you really not see this happening?

Since the SEC has been on top lately the rest of the country would like to see us lose... So they aren't in favor of rematch but another team needs to give them a reason to not have one... Ok St still has an outside chance.

I'm actually very surprised to read that in CFN.
CFN has more credibility than any single publication BY FAR.
There are MANY who just don't want the BCS National Championship to be the SEC Invitational.
That is NOT GOOD for Bama.
The validity of the arguments are beside the point.
Tha anti Bama (really anti SEC backlash) has OFFICIALLY begun.
For the record, I prescribe to the "two best resumes" school of argument.

So basically LSU fans feel they have an entitlement this year to the NC even if they can not win the big game. You guys amaze me.

yeah imagine that...
the team's fans who backed in will be pumped about getting another shot at the team who beat them at home... and the fans of the team who has beaten everyone in their path will be pissed they have to do it again....OH THE OUTRAGE
imagine that.
this all coming from a fan of a team that BACKED IN to the 2007 NCG.

Well as of right now those people in the west and north and midwest have Alabama at an almost unanimous #2. They also have OSU at about a 6 1/2. I realize votes will change but not a single northern western or midwestern SEC hater thinks it's close right now. NOT A SINGLE ONE OF EM.

I'm sure don't get how Oklahoma State lost to Iowa State either.
Iowa State isn't a bad team at all. They will probably give Oklahoma a lot of trouble this week.
Oklahoma State trounced Baylor. Crushed them.
Oklahoma has the 93rd ranked pass defense in the country, and Landry Jones is not that great away from home.
Oklahoma State is just better, and they're at home.

wow Dane Cook...just bathing yourself in credibility

Again, please tell me one fanbase in the nation that would be gaga about playing a team they beat on the road again for the title. I'm sure you'll say you...and we'll all know you're completely full of shite.

LoL at thinking Ok St jumps Bama, won't be close because of voters if Bama wins Sat and I don't care about comp ranking bieng #2 the polls knocked them down to 4 behind Arkansas thanks to voters
In 2006 when UF went one thing people forget that year was the perception of UF and the SEC, well now all 3 top ranked teams are in the SEC and try as they may people can't get out of their mind the 2 best teams are Bama and LSU. End of story

No 1 would be happy about it. If I beat a team 9-6 that outgained, out played me, and just beat themselves, I'd be scared. I think you are too.
And you're a douche.

However, since there is no playoff, the regular season must act like a playoff. Bama getting into the champ game is like Chicago getting a rematch with green bay in the Super Bowl after losing the NFC champ game.
definitely not the same. The NFL has a very specific set of rules, as does the BCS. There is no conference championship criteria in the BCS. The primary objective of the BCS is suppose to be determining who the two best teams are and matching them up for a final game. This may not happen of course. The irony is that if for once the BCS system gets it right and puts the two best teams in it... it is chaos.

A LOT of time to change things dude. They couldn't exactly keep OSU at 2 after they lost now could they. The polls are fluid.
I'm not trying to argue the bama folks but simply share a very valid opinion based on listening and reading other outlets besides whatever bama guys say on the Finebaum show. In response guys like the rockstar guy stick their fingers in their ears and repeat on loop

I had a Perryism..... OOPS.
We didn't beat UF twice but the point is the same. Teams play twice in one year all the time. Just because they lose one time doesn't change the fact that they can win a championship by winning the big game.
To intentionally not put the two best teams in the Championship is silly and petty.

This
No matter what happens, it's been fun reading both Bama & LSU fans go at it. Bama -vs- LSU has become one of the better rivalries in CFB these days.

ROLL TIDE !!!!!!!

Dude this is college football, it's an escape, something that is fun to watch. Its not worth getting scared over. I'm scared that my surgically repaired shoulder might not heal, I'm scared that my child might not be born healthy, or for my family members with health issues. Grow some perspective.

Funny stuff here. Lose to a four-loss team in late November and you're worthy to play for a national championship, but only lose in OT to the number one team by a field goal and you're NOT worthy?

and those voters will go as far as giving OSU first place votes over LSU in order to get it done. The system is very easily manipulated.....it's not about the best two teams in the country (unfortunately)
Then why do I keep hearing two crystal balls, if it's just a popularity vote... then frick it. I'm glad we claim 1941
