People don't this anymore. When they are caught being a fraud, they simply tell themselves "I don't have to explain myself to these idiots". It hurts too much to think anything else.
That's when anonymity is present. I highly doubt this guy would even dare discuss statistics and probability with someone face to face. The internet makes us all fake smart.

I'd be glad to if you provided a valid point.
Which hypothesis do you disagree with and where's your stastical data to back it up?
Can you support the alternative that the LOSER of the coin toss has a stastical advantage?

I read on here plain as day before Nov. 5th that bama doesn't lose at home under Saban especially at night. This was from the same people who now say LSU is scared and this extra week off for Saban to stress out and pucker up is a great thing, so I know its true.

Im sure if Bama wins the toss and the game, you would be on here telling LSU fans how we were at an unfair disadvantage.
I'm sure if the corndogs played OSU instead of Bama you would be on here telling Bama fans how OSU is the best 1 loss team in the country.

I'd love to see LSU play Stanford in the BCS NC game. There would be nationwide interest in that game. LSU/Gumps, not so much......

I've already posted two links
Neither of which address your premise.

the other clearly stated a 52% advantage to the winner of the coin flip.
You dumb idiot. You did a statistical average of Bama's statistical advantage of playing at home? Then, you compare it to the statistical advantage of a coin flip for all teams in college football?
Even using your idiotic comparison, just because Bama shits the bed at home, doesn't mean that don't have a huge advantage. It just means that they are too shitty to take advantage of it, not that it isn't present. You think that the entire lower bowl of your stadium being filled with Gump retards screaming, while the visitors have 10K fans stuck in the nosebleeds where they can barely be heard is not an advantage? Whether on not you idiots capitalize on it is a whole other discussion. But it doesn't disappear because you lose.

Reading comprehension? I suppose you failed at that.
Coming from you, makes this even more gumptastic.

You used a math equation to show the loser of the coin toss has a slight disadvantage. Then you used actual results, for Bama only, to show that over the last 20 years, you guys couldn't get it done in overtime in your own stadium. Your logic is flawed. You are cherry picking. Either link a math equation for the home team, or link actual results of overtime games.

Not from me I was present for LSU in 2007, UGA in 2007 and Auburn in 2010. I see no conclusive evidence that Bama has a home field advantage against good teams at home.
You need to go back and read those links they do not focus on Alabama in any way shape or form.

Yes you did, but I'd rather play overtime in death valley where we win the coin toss.
This is one of the dumbest comments ever on this site. All you had to do was score on your possession to force LSU into a different set of circumstances. You could not thus we kick a field goal and beat you in your house....LOL!
The issue Bama will face in the final BCS poll is regional bias. If multiple regions/coaches decide the rematch is not fair, it could change the position of certain teams assuming LSU and Okie St win out. Not saying that this will happen but to say there is no reasonable probability that this can happen is short sited and self serving.
We beat Bama on their field and will be happy to do the same on our field in NOLA.

You get more advantage winning the coin toss in overtime than you do playing on your home field.
WTF - you have dodged around this without answering.
How did you determine which of the factors plays a higher role if there is no proven correlation between them?
What is the correlation?
Statistical Analyses? I suppose you failed that?

Pertains to NFL but mentions NCAA as well.
Diminishing HFA
The home team wins overtime 51% of the time.
In NCAA OT the coin flip winner wins overtime 52% of the time.
The correlation is you have a bigger advantage winning the OT coin toss than you do playing OT in your home stadium.
Yes you beat us in our house in overtime. Way to overcome that incredibly huge advantage we had.
