come back and ask this question after your Tenn, OM, and A&M games... I'm certain the tune you will change.

Thats funny you mention Minnesota and Northwest? Or Northwestern

because Minnesota last two times they matched up with the SEC Arkansas, and Bama, they beat em.

And hasn't Northwestern won 3 in a row vs the SEC.

Also didn't Vandy chicken out of playing OSU?

Besides Bama your conference is not that good this season and Ohio State would wipe the floor with rest of them.

Oh god ill admit the East is down, but give me a break. Our "down" division is still harder than getting through the entire big 10. Buckeye and Minnesota? Fans go frick yourselves and go play Purdue again

I definitely think OSU could have won the East this year. No prayer of going unbeaten against Tennessee's schedule, but they could have won the division.

The East is down because the West is sooo good even though it's a one-trick pony

I don't think that means what you think it means.

Come on man, I can't wait to watch Minnesota vs Northwest this Saturday. Pretty sure Gameday is there again

Ironically, they are at Miami vs FSU this weekend but I appreciated the gist of your condescending tone directed towards the B1G asshats in this thread. Subtle yes, but with just the proper pinch of patronization to make it work.

Well done.

The East may be down, but Bama can only really speak about UT and UK.

Outside of Alabama I think it might be the west that's down. We'll know for sure in five weeks I guess.

Here are a few more years. Typically 1 top 5 team and at least 1 top 15 team as well. 2001, 4 of the 6 teams were in the top 25 (two in the top 5).

2008
1 Florida (7-1) (13-1)
13 Georgia (6-2) (10-3)
-- Vanderbilt (4-4) (7-6)
-- South Carolina (4-4) (7-6)
-- Tennessee (3-5) (5-7)
-- Kentucky (2-6) (7-6)

2007
2 Georgia (6-2) (10-4)
12 Tennessee (6-2) (11-2)
13 Florida (5-3) (9-4)
-- South Carolina (3-5) (6-6)
-- Kentucky (3-5) (8-5)
-- Vanderbilt (2-6) 5-7)

2006
1 Florida (7-1) (13-1)
25 Tennessee (5-3) (9-4)
23 Georgia (4-4) (9-4)
-- Kentucky (4-4) (8-5)
-- South Carolina (3-5) (8-5)
-- Vanderbilt (1-7) (4-8)

Probably the stongest year for the East

2001
4 Tennessee (7-1) (11-2)
3 Florida (6-2) (10-2)
13 South Carolina (5-3) (9-3)
22 Georgia (5-3) (8-4)
-- Kentucky (1-7) (2-9)
-- Vanderbilt (0-8) (2-9)

I would agree with you completely and with the poster who said the East has been down for several years. No doubt, traditionally this is far from the standard for the East and no doubt it will be strong again. My point was geared more to the excuse that Mizzou is only doing well bc the East is down this year. Over the last 5 years, only 2012 has had a stronger division than we have this year. The only difference is that its Mizzou and SC that are taking advantage instead of more traditional powers. Yet, when you compare them nationally, they are representing the conference just as well as Georgia, Florida, and Tennesee have recently.

Georgia and Florida both have had the injury bug this year, due to that yes it has been down

Missouri had the injury bug just as bad if not worse last year. Does that mean Georgia won because the East was down?
