I still remember the end of the SWC and the shotgun marriage that formed the Big XII. The Big XII was never even supposed to happen, but state politics forced a compromise from the universities in CS and Austin

"Shotgun marriage", for A&M not UT or OU. Dodds took the eventual deal & blueprints to OU's Donnie Duncan in 1990.

Compromise? Y'all were told what to do after the fact.

The answer to OP's question would be Oklahoma and Georgia. Rather blame they should receive credit. The antitrust case opened up the modern development of CFB.

Pretty sure y'all are to blame for the current monkey pox outbreak as well. Y'all got those chimp chiggers exploding across the globe now. Thanks Texas.

OU always dick riding daddy Texas.

Texas is the destroyer of conferences.

Give it a few years and everyone here will be ask why Texas was let in.

You'll know it is starting when an SEC Championship game is played in Texas. In the first twelve years of the Big 12's existence the conference championship game was played in Missouri seven times as part of a rotation.

Jerry Jones will throw cash at the SEC.

Then it will eventually be permanently moved to Dallas.

I don't think so. Other teams were on board to move before that.

Truth is, and facts, atm is like that pimple face girl that will take extreme measures to hide her goat face. And screaming "will you be my friend? I'll give you may tampon money if you will just be my friend "

Putting all the crybaby posts aside, this was an inevitability. It is simply untenable to have programs like texas in a financial contractual relationship with an Iowa St. If you don’t split the money evenly, everyone is butthurt. If you do split it evenly then the big dog in the relationship knows it’s carrying a heavier load in the relationship. The only way for smaller programs to share a conference with a big one is if they accept they will have disadvantages, monetary distribution being one of them. Too many government bureaucrats running those institutions don’t understand business and would rather cry about it and share a much smaller pie evenly because it’s “fair”.

I give texas credit, they were the only ones with the sack to call it what it is. Yes, they’re obnoxious arrogant pricks but that doesn’t mean they’re always wrong.
