State did well this weekend. Kind of picked a bad weekend to play their best game.

My friend I don't think you're allowed to say that around here but we'll see.

I will say State did a good job of executing a clock chewing ground game, moving down the field 3 yards at a time, using 4th down when necessary, and keeping Texas offense off the field.

No, the inbred Bammer native who tried to cheat like Saban, but was too stupid to pull it off, Jeremy Pruitt. His 3 win Tennessee team was the worst.

Tennessee should have known better than to hire an incest product out of Alabama.

We'll see...in recent years you had:

2023 Vanderbilt went 2-10 and 0-8 in conference. Their wins were over Hawaii and Alabama A&M

2021 Vanderbilt went 2-10 and 0-8 in conference. Their wins were over Colorado State and UConn

2020 Vanderbilt went 0-9.

2018 Arkansas went 2-10 and 0-8 in conference. Their wins were over Eastern Illinois and Tulsa.

State is bad for sure, I’d say best case scenario is 3-9, MAYBE 4-8 if they really put some things together. This could easily be a 2-10 team though.

The Toledo fiasco was a clear low point. I feel like they’ve improved marginally in the two weeks since. I seriously thought Texas was going to win that game 70-0, so by comparison 35-13 isn’t that bad.

Schedule is pretty brutal so they don’t have many chances to show clear improvement. 4 of the 6 remaining SEC games are against Top 15 teams, and three of those are on the road.

I would probably say the worst SEC teams I’ve seen in recent memory were Chad Morris Arkansas teams. After Toledo I thought they were on that level. As we sit here today, I think they’re probably not as bad just because I don’t think Lebby is as terrible of a coach as Morris was.

They bad. But they exposed Texas as the frauds they are.

It is concerning because after a drive or two, it became obvious that was Lebby's game plan, yet they still were competitive against the defensive front all through the first half. Yeah, there were some uncalled holds by the Bulldogs.

Georgia has a better line than MSU. We could be in for a long day when they visit unless something changes.

A 3-TD win is all you need. We took a knee in their red zone to end the game.

Nobody here even knows what they are talking about.

We pack ammo as required.

I was at the game, and I was pleasantly surprised with our performance. The first half went pretty well, and if our WR's don't have those few drops they had we might've even had the lead for a sec.

It was my first time in Austin, and it was pretty great (besides the loss of course, but knew that was coming anyway). Went to the Comedy Mothership on Friday and Terry Black's, so I got to check a few things off my list to do there. Looking forward to going back

Glad you made it out. Hope you survived Austin traffic. I was there too but on the alumni side. No sunburn for me. Hope you wore sunscreen.

We just ubered around from Thursday to yesterday, didn't have any issues on that end. I guess I was on the Alumni side too then, the whole second half we were in the shade thank God.

This was the worst team in the last twenty years. Their ppg split was 15/37. Granted that was a full SEC schedule so no cupcakes but they were BAD. Mizzou went 5-5 that season and beat Vandy 41-0.

Did I do good

Eh, you could improve by saying something like
"Yes, because Texas just barely squeezed past them."

I saw this team live the next to last game of the season when State beat them 52-6. I told my son that was by far the worst SEC I'd seen in my life. That goes back to the late 70's. They looked like a bad CUSA team. I haven't mustered up the energy to go watch us live this year, but I am. I'll let you know then, but I fear it might be close to 2018 Arkansas.

You forgot 2021.

After seeing the team this season, I have fond memories of 2022. It felt bad at the time, but it clearly was "the good times" in comparison to now.
