I know she's catching some flack, but it only seems that Auburnites are the ones really being vocal against her.

The Eagles are being defensive of their team. The rest of the sports world has already accepted this as truth.

This will have a very short news cycle. She is getting a pass, because very few folks cares about the truth, it is about $$$$$

Her story had so many holes it is laughable and non-biased folks who look beyond the headline see that.

What has she said that will hurt Auburn with the NCAA? What proof has she provided? Do you think the NCAA is going to take Muschamps word or an accused felon.

Meh, it is more confirmation bias than gender bias.

I already think Auburn is guilty, and therefore I want to believe Roberts' report.

However, I am becoming more skeptical now that the players have denied it (two of the three, anyways).

Check.

People wanted to believe the Duke players were guilty, so they easily accepted the story. People want to believe Auburn is guilty, so they accept the story.

She's got some serious credibility issues coming into this, so there should be no hurry to believe her.

This is probably the best post on the site today.

I think sportswriters are among the worst offenders of exploiting others to puff their egos and agendas.

There is a simultaneous search for the narrative of the perfect hero that never exists all while serving as the ethical policemen in the sports world. It's narcissistic and gross, IMO.

The prosecutor in the Duke Lacrosse team debacle was worthless and horrible, but she certainly didn't help.

I said basically the same thing a few weeks ago re: the ever-present JFF inquest/hunt.

Opposing fans get off to this kind of stuff, and there's not a damn thing you can do about it. People want to see others fail. Makes 'em feel better about their own lots in life.

Women should have never been allowed to be journalists and women should have never been allowed to vote.

All that ails this country these days can be traced to those two mistakes in our history.
