It wouldn't surprise me if Texas shows up and plays well enough to beat Vandy and then go to OT again against Arky.

Beating one of either Georgia or A&M feels very improbable. at this point, but stranger things have happened.

If we lose out and go 6-6 he will change a few coordinators but no he is not in trouble. Last year in the sec title game and back to back playoffs would be silly to change so quickly.

Should never have been preseason #1 New offensive line and unproven QB? Sark had major success the last two years, he’s not going anywhere unless he decides to leave

I agree with this reasonable take. Preseason hype can’t replace reality. We had a lot of inexperienced OL players + an inexperienced Arch starting this year.

I’ll be the first to admit that many of our UT fans are too impatient, and we usually get off the charts preseason press hype (which we tend to invite) most years.

The reality is that high school recruits need to learn from college in-game experience, the SEC is a super tough conference , and we are not going to be up for a national championship every year….

If Sark loses to Vandy and then gets stomped by A&M at home, the trendy thing to do will be to fire him.

Never happen. We are stuck with this turd 1-2 more years unless he leaves.

That would be something if they got two high profile coaches fired in the same year.

So did James Franklin.

Not really. He had a good last 2 years but if you look at those years closely, you see that he only beat the teams that there was a clear talent discrepancy. When he played any team that was on his level talent wise, they went 0-6. In 2023, he played against 3 teams that I would consider on PSUs' talent level, Ohio State, Michigan and Ole Miss. In those games, they were 0-3. In 2024, they again played 3 teams on the same talent level, OSU, Michigan and Notre Dame, they were 0-3 in those games. I get that they made it to the Semi-Finals. However, they beat SMU and Boise State. I do not consider either of those teams to have the same talent level as Penn State. This was a knock on Franklin throughout his tenure at PSU, he couldn't win big games. He was at Penn State for over a decade, in that time, here is how he went against the best teams in the conference:
PSU vs Michigan - 3-7.
PSU vs Ohio State - 1-10.
His teams did have success record wise the last 2 years, but again, when they played anyone near their talent level, they lost. This was what ultimately led to his firing.

Why should he be fired after losing to a clearly better team? I know we are in denial, but Vandy is actually trending up as of late.

If we beat the brakes off them, you'll see a lot more Aggies in Austin than you did at BR.

Would be a huge scene.

Surprised they didn't fire him after our game. Teams tend to do that

Not my intention.

I know he struggled staying on the wagon in the past, but I haven’t heard any rumors lately.

Sark's already in trouble. He went out and asked for $$$ to build around Arch, he got more than he asked for, and somehow his o line is an unfixable disaster and he has no run game. With a top 3 NIL payroll.

Pair that with unexplainable game plans on offense, and Sark's seat warmer is on the lowest setting.

Will only e fired if he establishes a trend of losing this game. He won last year so he is safe.
