Probably taking the Malik Heath approach to staying in state and actually running routes to get a look at by NFL scouts.

There will be plenty of NFL scouts in Troy tomorrow for the SunBelt Championship game. Going to win our 7th conference title.

I would expect several SEC and ACC schools to pursue him if he doesn’t just go straight to Ole Miss like Heath did.

Heath left State because he was not going to play much. He just wanted to run routes and catch the ball. He didn't want to block, set picks, or run a safety out of the play if he knew he wasn't going to get the ball. Leach wasn't having any of that.
In the Egg Bowl last week. OM ran a play with the ball going to the left. Heath was the wide out on the right. He didn't even leave the line of scrimmage during the play. Never moved and took the play off.

It is called the hurry up offense. When the ball runs away you catch your breath. It is part of the system and happened all year.
He left to get a look by NFL scouts in an actually offense that is comparable to what they run in the league.
But yeah, the 4th leading receiver in the conference wouldn't have been good enough to play in State's offense. And yeah he hates blocking even though he was on the field 85% of the plays on a team that led the conference in rushing yards per game... Give me a break.

Heath was good enough to play at State. He just didn't want to block, set picks, and run DBs out of plays that he would be required to do on about 80%+ of the plays.
Heath didn't like what he was required to do being a WR in the Air Raid system and Leach didn't like how he was or was not doing it

The Air Raid is about spreading a defense all over the field. Yes, Heath is required run short routes at times. That's the attack of the Air Raid. Not everybody is running deep routes.

I think Heath and Leach both made the right decision to part ways. Heath was better fit in the Ole Miss offense and improved his draft prospects. Leach's offense kept on doing what it does without Heath.
