I love traveling for the weekend to go out. Much better if you enjoy the random skank game.

Tubbs didn't bolt from Oxford because Auburn was such a much better job than Ole Miss. He left because our cocksucker AD fought against him and refused to invest in athletics.

it's not so much that he left because of Ole Miss having a glass ceiling. He left because he had a shitty boss.

We're trying to kick said person to the curb.....btw.

frick! Was it really 20 years ago? I thought Cutcliffe had enough success to say it was a job worth taking. Nutt has skullfricked the program though. The school has some money. I don't know much about the facilities, but it's in the SEC.

Of course it is. SEC, loads of money, great fan support with all things considered, facilities are solid and improving, great recruiting area. Ole Miss is a great job.

SEC - check

Loads of money - yes but they don't spend it. Doesn't Ole Miss have one of the lowest athletic budgets.

Facilities - solid but not great.

Recruiting Area - lots of great atletes but due to poor educational system there is alot of academic casualties. Also, due to location alot of instate and out of state competition for the few great players that are academically eligible.

Identity crisis with mascots and split in fanbase in reference to what traditions to maintain.

So I say no

Not with Boone still in the picture. You gotta have an AD that will let a coach win.

It is now, and it will only get better with better facilities.

Ole Miss needs to find a niche, the same way, Texas Tech and Oregon State have in their respective conferences.

Don't try and beat LSU and Alabama at their game with what is sure to be inferior talent.

Be different instead. Run an air raid offense ala Leach or Sumlin that is exciting for both players and fans.

In other words, follow Arkansas's example.

It was a good job for a young coach on the rise...like Tuberville was. However, with the current state of affairs regarding infighting between the fan base / Boone / Jones, a young coach would be well advised to stay away. Better suited for an old timer on the way out at this point...

You don't think they have the means to compete with LSU? I don't know, honestly

Catered tents in the grove?

Sonic expense accounts?

Spend it on their nationally known and respected Parks and Recreation Masters Program?

From what I've read, Nutt's salary following his extension in 12/08 is thought to be in the neighborhood of $2.5 million. That, plus the ability immediately have a job (and in the SEC, too boot)in a talent rich state are the main things that made the Ole Miss job a good job for him. In addition, at the time he came to Ole Miss, Miss State was struggling, giving him an advantage w/ in state recruiting.
