i honestly never did. and fought with everyone around me that he needed to stay the starter and be the starter the next year. becuase of a few reasons
he played very well in games we were either equally matched or over matched (aside from 1 half against troy). the only struggles came in games we were undermatched in. and still looked well in spurts of the FLA, UGA, and BAMA games.
and the fact that mathew stafford had 23ish? ints in his true freshman year, and he turned out pretty well.
the kid's always had talent and ability and the arm. he was making checks and audibling at the line as a RS freshman. it was just a matter of gaining the experience.
