All time worst drive in my opinion is I55 from MO border south to near West Memphis.

North MS down I55 to the LA border is just as bad

Oklahoma was a shitty wasteland the government gave it to the Indians.

Then they found oil and ran 'em off again.

Alabama is a dunghole. It’s only saving grace is the gulf.

Don’t kid yourself, even the Bama shore is a shite hole. The entire state of Alabama is a dump. I’ve never been to Oklahoma but I’d imagine nothing is worse than Alabama.

You're either trolling or a total dumb### to say the Bama shore is a dump. I'd argue that the Florida panhandle beaches from Pensacola to PCB are some of the prettiest in the continental U.S. and Gulf Shores and Orange Beach while not quite as nice are nice and just a step below and are the far western edge of that stunning coastline. Gulf Shores/Orange Beach is right up there with Destin and PCB as far as market share of tourism and a vacation destination for people from Texas, the Southeastern U.S., and the Midwest and GS/OB actually outranks any individual beach market on the Georgia coast when it comes to tourism dollars spent. Just a completely idiotic and non-factual statement on your part. As for the rest of the state of Alabama, I'd put it middle of the pack as far as natural beauty. I'd agree that Tennessee, Kentucky, South Carolina due to the large coastline and mountains in the far northwest, Georgia with Atlanta and the north Georgia mountains, Florida with the massive coastline, and arguably Arkansas with its pretty mountains beat Alabama but Alabama is far from a "dump" natural beauty wise.

This invalidates everything you have to say. Mobile is one of the worst cities in the country. It's worse than Cleveland.

I'm not arguing that Mobile is by any means a great city but I can think of many many top 300 metros in the country I'd live in Mobile over. The city has a history and culture similar in a lot of ways to its big brother New Orleans just on a smaller scale. It has one of the greatest suburbs in the entire country just across the bay from it in Fairhope. In fact, the entire Eastern Shore area is nice. It's the original birthplace of Mardi Gras and has the 2nd best and most active Mardi Gras behind New Orleans with parades, parties, and balls from the start of the new year thru Mardi Gras day. Likely much more culture than where you call home.

It doesn't. I don't live that far from Mobile, and the only time I go there is on my way through. I rarely stop.

Just spent a week in the Tulsa area. Main highways were smooth; far better than any city in Louisiana. Hit a Trader Joe’s, had some good pizza and Mexican, and had some of the best Vietnamese food ever. Liquor stores had a good selection. They have a new food hall that looks good. Gas is dirt cheap.

Kind of freaked out in a packed McAlester's when I realized that every customer and employee was white. And I even looked in the kitchen. It was like I was on another planet.

They do have an unsettling number of churches, and that’s compared to Shreveport. Oral Roberts University is there to boot.

This is silly and just typical 21st century social media negative bullshite.

Almost every state in the country has interesting and beautiful regions along with bland boring ones.

It's pretty fricking bad overall.

It still has some natural beauty, but its sparse.

The Wichita hills and Black Mesa are not bad. The areas closest to the Arkansas border, in the Ouachitas, and Ozark foothills near Siloam Springs are pretty.

Not sure if it is as boring as Mississippi overall. The ugliest state is Kansas. You're welcome Mizzou fans.
