Schedules are made a decade or longer in advance...like a box of chocolates, you never know what you will get...case in point, the 13-0 Florida State team or the 2-10 Florida State team the next year. You play who's on the schedule and try to prevail.

This is a valid point if you are in the SEC, but ND? There schedule has never been filled with opponents like an SEC team has to face almost every week.

I remember someone stating a few years ago that Texas and Oklahoma could never compete in the SEC; both teams have qualified for the CFP. It's like the Open Division in Club Volleyball. Teams look incredibly imposing when you watch them, but aren't as good when you finally play them.

Today, I think Auburn would love to achieve the "Ole Miss" level. You should have stuck with Gus.

I'm not sure about LSU. America's team has to evoke intense love and an equal amount of hatred. I know LSU is extremely loved by its fanbase, but not hated by many since the football team has been pretty irrelevant since 2019. With Lane onboard and Baker staying as DC, perhaps you will build a monster program again worthy of intense jealousy and hatred. Until then, most just offer their pity and prayers!

Only one Big 12 team has made the championship in the playoff era, and it wasn’t Texas or Oklahoma.

They had the worst championship loss in modern history.

That said, Texas and OU made pretty good coaching hires.

Yep, he's done a bang up job everywhere he's been since he left the cupboard bare at AU.

Clouds are starting to part, and the sunshine is starting to peak thru. Our HC puts up gawdy offensive numbers everywhere he's been and he's paired with one of the best DCs in the country. Y'all all are on notice.

SEC Championship....that would be LSU's drubbing of Georgia.
Can't remember if it was 2011 or 2019
Natty, I'll take TCU and the 57pts....Darn, still lost.

Delupe,
Glad you are on the rant. Your wit is refreshing. Serious question.

Being a smart and witty person, you certainly must agree that playing an extra conference championship game isn’t smart. But, we in the SEC who started these games did so to determine a true conference champ.

ND agreed to the rules of the CFP. The committee was instructed to consider head to head in the selection process. So, why are ND fans so upset? Miami beat you fare and square.

Who above you should ND been above? Bama, Miami, OU? The screwup is allowing Tulane and James Madison. But, ND agreed to that potential nightmare and it occurred.

I truly understand ND fans being upset and feeling cheated. Happened to Bama last year. We got over it. Played hard this year and made it. I think ND should be the class program they are and follow suit.

So, Please explain why the anger towards the SEC and others who had no part of ND losing to Miami ..

I keep up with the Cowboys but find ND to be sad and annoying.

According to Tv rating we are by a mile. As far as your last sentence, why do you let ND get under your skin?

If Beano Cook were still alive, he would have an aneurysm on ESPN about Notre Dame being left out. .
