Team that I want to beat the most: Alabama. Simply because we owe them a few arse whippings.
Team that I would hate to lose to the most: Texas A&M. Simply because they have they most obnoxious fan base and because of 0-4

Remove Vanderbilt...UT is a rival for Vandy...Vandy is not a rival for UT (at least not since UT hired Neyland).

Good job on this thread Tornado Alley.

The UNC/USC thing transcends just football, though. Even last year's women's BB game was intense as hell. The 2012/13 Super Regional against the Tar Holes was also very heated.
And I know what you mean about UGA. For out-of-state kids from the SEC footprint, they come to school hating UGA worse than Clemson. Until the Clemson game, usually. Then it puts everything into perspective.

Respectfully disagree. Considering Auburn steals more in-state/Georgia recruits from UGA than GT and Florida combined, and have a significant fan-base in the state of Georgia and our rivalry with Auburn is the oldest and closest in terms of win/loss record, I would place above both GT and Florida but on roughly equal intensity. So:
Auburn
GT
Florida
SC
Tennessee

GT is UGA's biggest rival because it just is. Always will be. WLOCP is a more meaningful and hateful game than DSOR historically. Much more hateful actually.
The recruiting thing isn't that significant in this discussion imo.
When you watch the way UGA's and the respective opponent's players behave on the field during the game, the GT and UF games stand out. Auburn is a great rivalry, but it just isn't the same.

Historically it's always been LSU. Pretty much back to that for now. I work with a few Ol' Mrs fans who can't stand MSU but to a man they friggin' hate LSU.

Kentucky's right. Louisville and Tennessee...two interchangeable turds. Vanderbilt, North Carolina, and Indiana get honorable mention.

Tennessee
1. Alabama
1b. Florida (depending on when you became a fan but if pushed most would say BAMA although those fans hate UF more because of what went down in those games/Spurrier BUT Florida was kind of a generated rivalry that had a lot to do with the times).
2. UK or Vandy - this one really depends on where you grew up and how connected you are to the area. BOTH are listed as our secondary rivals. Personally, I've always considered UK our secondary rival BUT it's a 2-sport rivalry unlike Vandy. Because our rivalry with UK is 2-sport, it has endured. Vandy, OTOH, hasn't mattered much to us since 1927 (before then they own us).
Personally, I don't consider Vandy a rival but I grew up in East, TN with family in Kentucky and like BOTH football and basketball.
As far as UGA goes... I think it might become a rivalry and some Georgia sites have listed it as one (that shocked me as it was the first I'd heard but we'd make natural rivals if that were to happen). This one might replace UF but I wouldn't hold my breath on that. We are definitely rivals in recruiting but much like Vandy hates us more than we hate them (exception being those UT fans in Middle, TN/Nashville, there are more UGA fans, especially the older ones, that hate us far more than we hate them).

I would've agreed with you before Nick Fairly. I hate Auburn with passion now!

Also we've played UK more than anyone in football. At least as far as primary rivals (both out of state and in-state conference foes).**
We've played 110 times whereas we've played Vandy 109 despite Vandy having a 1 year start on UK. BAMA we've played 95 times.
**Unless I'm mistaken, I think there might be one or two we played earlier but not more.

Yeah I grew up in Tennessee and lived amongst these fricking clowns when Tennessee was beating Alabama every god damn year from the mid 90s to mid 2000s. SO frick you.
90s-00s were rough for Bama. UT band-wagoners came out of very corner, some living here not even from here. But ya know you love me in a platonic/nonsexual way despite it all.

For Patton...It's kinda odd. Most of us Vol fans hate Bama and that can get downright evil come fall but we don't have a disdain. In an odd sort of way, we have a begrudging respect.
OTOH, we tend to disdain UF as a n00b upstart. I've even heard a few say they'd rather have BAMA hold the longer streak than UF because they revile UF so much and have no respect for them. It's odd tho' I think if UT fans understood more about the IMMENSE influence Tennessee players turned coaches had building UF it might change things a little.
That said, y'all have never thrown piss balloons at us or pelted our HC's wife with objects. While I do like a lot of UF peeps here those things are hard to get past.

TCU is far less of a rival than Baylor.
TCU is winless against A&M since 1972.

Yeah true I agree. I wish we'd schedule UNC more often for football. I hated them growing up and feel like we could re-establish a great football rivalry with them.

Well they haven't.

Sure the piss balloon might've actually been water instead of piss but the pelting the HC's wife was real.
You've even had reported piss balloon attacks on campus. And this guy likes to sneaks up on women and pee on them: LINK -
And before you start, we're no saints. This year is proof. And yessir, our student section pelted the shite out of your players with plastic bottles and ice this year after UF players taunted them. THEN the student section started a frick YOU FLORIDA chant.
