I'll give Elko credit, he makes Alabama throw to win but he picked the wrong era of Alabama football for that to be the strategy.

Very solid interior defense. Don't get moved around much up front but never been impressed by their secondary coverage.

A&M secondary will be a LOT better this year. Last year it was mostly freshmen and RS freshmen

Yep, it will be fitting for 0’s 6th choice to be better than the DC who had them better in preseason 2020 than they were at any time in 2019. I mean, the DC from 2020 was so good, and it was evident from how they were so good in preseason until COVID took its toll, that man didn’t even need to interview

Wtf, is this English?

This doesn't seem to be true as 247 Sports' 2 deep projected depth chart only has two sophomores in your secondary.

Mostly juniors and seniors.

We had a lot of injuries in the secondary last year. It was the weak spot in the defense, as Alabama showed everyone.

I saw where Young got injured against Bama but nothing much else.

I'm just curious where all the freshmen went.

They are not ready or good enough to beat out the ones with experience?

Of the 7 DBs who played the most, there were three freshmen (jones, Johnson, young) and a true sophomore (demani) and a first year JUCO (George). There was also a senior (Myles jones) and a sophomrw or junior safety (Leon). All are returning. Carper was an older guy who played a lot to, when demani got hurt.

Young is listed as a junior this season.

Playing two freshmen is a far cry from ColoradoAg's statement that most of Aggies' secondary was true and redshirt freshmen.

Young was a redshirt freshmen last season. He still has four years of eligibility left! There was also redshirt freshen (in the same class with Young and Demani) Brian Williams, who played a good bit, but who I didn’t mention.

Edit: turns out, Young played a little too much in year one to redshirt. He was a true sophomore last year, I guess. I though he only played in 4 games in year one. But the point stands. Must of his PT as a true freshmen was special teams. I wish we had not burned his redshirt year, and I thought we had not, but it turns out we did.

Most of our DB's had very little experience Sidewalk. Christ, answering you is like a full-time job.

Erick Young played 5 games in 2019. Brian Williams played 7.

So Kirby was never DC at Bama, according to Bama fans when he left, now he’s the eternal DC at UGA?

Sure he was. He just ran everything coach Saban believed in. A match made in heaven as it turned out. Which by the way is exactly what Pete Golding is doing now. Neither Georgia nor Alabama have DCs bring their own stuff to the party.

Yes, he is.

Look at defensive efficiency vs. roster talent on a two/three deep and he's the best price-per-pound DC.

Elko is the best at giving up points, so there is that.
