You do realize Texas doesn't actually control the media, right?
He never said that, dipshit. They teach reading comprehension at that tranny college in Austin?

The OP insinuated that the hype was coming from Texas fans entirely. Do they teach context at glorified Baton Rouge High School?

The hype is fine. He’s going to be a really good player I think but there are lots of things outside his control obviously. As far Manning himself I don’t see why he wouldn’t be successful

Someone just recently posted a breakdown of his HS stats that did not paint a flattering picture vs real competition.

The same stats that broke the records of his Super Bowl-winning uncles at the same school?

Did you see any footage of him his senior year ? Playoff games ? If not check it out. Your answer lies there

They had to replace 4/5 OL starters AND just lost their starting OT for the season. Doesn’t bode well for a first time starting QB

didn’t realize the SEC participated in the Super Bowl

LSU talking academic smack to Texas? Oh my.

How about we wait and see how he plays and leads the team as a starter? It’s impossible to know whether or not he’s overrated before he’s even leading the team as the starting qb.
Sometimes I think opposing fans are more obsessed with this guy than our fans.
Also, we can’t control the media if you don’t like it complain to ESPN

For once can we stop talking about this kid and let him play a full season first.
So in your mind we should reserve judgement until the end of the season?
Man are you gonna be disappointed.

The man with the headset is who makes him a Heisman front-runner

If Manning comes out and plays like he did in high school, Texas could be in trouble.
Manning played against one good high school his last year, and that schools secondary at best would be rated average for a high school team, Manning lost that game.
Manning has great talent around him, and we have to see how he does against better secondaries he will run into this year in college.

To make this kind of presumptous statement in the day and age of NIL and the transfer portal is just pure folly my friend.

The DNA is there, and no one has access to more knowledge than he does for the position with his uncles. Hell, the film sessions alone with Peyton and Eli are worth their weight in gold.
Add in learning a system from Sark that is made to help a QB shine, and you have all of the "POTENTIAL" in the world. I think he has the arm and the legs to be a serious dual threat that puts up super big numbers.
