What’s the verdict?

I think he's very good. Undefeated as a starter at Georgia. Won the job but got injured and that was that.
But he is a very good QB. Smart, live arm, total statue, but has a quick release.

The key for him is he will need a very good OLs to give him a chance to throw the ball and not get hurt again.

And a good running game and talented receivers. He had a problem early in his career under-throwing the long pass, but by the South Caroline and Vandy game this year he had the timing down. I'm a huge fan of Bennett, but I did like JT as our QB and thought we could win it all with him if he stayed healthy.
He's not going to carry a team by himself, and he is no threat to run, but he is good enough a QB to win a championship with the right group around him, imo.

I’m assuming this means Mizzou is pursuing him?

I can't wait to whoop Mizzou again this year. Bitches.

He was at USC where they let him sling it around

he reminds me of Myles Brennan. Hasn’t had the chance to prove it

USC QB’s struggle to transition to the SEC. it’s science.

He may have the physical tools but he's a mental case and a soft as Charmin.

Healthy, yes. He would have set records at USC if not for that 1st injury.

I think he is a really good QB, just has a history of injuries.

He is very good. If he can stay healthy, he will make his next team very happy.

Good. Seems to have a lot of injuries and depends on his personal doctors advice over team doctors. I can understand that to a degree, but he misses a lot of time.
Has the arm. Reads a defense well pre-snap. If he stays healthy he can do well.

Seems like a fair evaluation.

He's extremely talented, but he left USC after losing the starting position due to injury and now he's leaving UGA for similar reasons.
If healthy, he'd probably put up good numbers for a season, but who knows if he will be there in a crucial situation.

How many injuries has he had what were they?

he's very good. Known as a cerebral guy that sees the field really well, and he throws one of the best deep balls I've seen at UGA in a while. Far more more times than not, when we'd throw a bomb the receiver would catch it perfectly in stride instead of having to slow down or adjust
-Freshman year at USC in 18 played all year, no problems
-Early in sophomore year had a knee injury, backup came in and played pretty well, and he was never given the job back. Pretty much an exact mirror of the Eason/Fromm situation in 2017
-Tranfserred here prior to 2020. Still dealing with a bit of a knee situation for half the year. He finally did start down the back stretch and was phenomenal. Put up great numbers and went undefeated.
-healthy most of 2021 offseason. Apparently had a bit of a lat irritation early on btu still started game 1. Supposedly, because of trying ot be mindful of his lat he then hurt his abdonimals, so we gave him week 2 off to rest. He started and played all of game 3 with no problmes. He started game 4 against vandy and we scored 35 in the 1st quarter so he had the rest of the day off. And he was essentially never seen again.
I doubt we'll ever truly know what the deal was. Some will say stetson was playing well enough that he took the job. Some say JT's lat or ab was truly hurting more than was ever publicly known and he legti had to sit half the season. Some people say he was dinged up in some capacity, our doctors said he was ready to go after a copule weeks, but JT's personal family doctors didn't clear him yet which pissed off our coaches so they kept him benched (seems unlikely?).

There is some interest, but he is not making a decision anytime soon for Spring football and graduates in May.
