Seeing as how he just signed the highest rated recruiting class ever in the history of CFB I think you might be jumping the gun.

Jopa won his last title in 86, in the following 26 seasons he had a losing record 5 of those seasons. 10 wins or more 7 of those seasons, and was mediocre and scandal ridden the rest of the time, saban has 7 more years before he even approaches having a joepa problem

I don't understand the Auburn hatred for Kevin Steele. The man did some pretty nice things with your D for several years, and he would still be your HC today if he would've been promoted in 2020.

After an 11-2 season?... Auburn has only had 3 seasons that good over the past 25 years years and you guys likely gave your coach a new contract after each one.

He will coach one more season, win a championship, then help the Dems campaign for the 2024 election.

I didn't take it that he was showing he was making a joke. I thought he was laughing at any Alabama fan that doubted his statement.

Uh, there's just one problem with Bama winning another title anytime soon. That big red Beast from the East, is STILL the big red Beast from the East.

It'll be a bittersweet day. I'm not sure if it's time for him to hang it up, it's not like they weren't pretty close to making it to the playoffs last year. Not sure if he has another one in him, but I trust Mrs T will know when it's time.

Mrs T, it's time please let that short little man retire

Relax. Your toilet paper doesn't have a use-by date.

Probably depends on how much water he's had today.

The 2020 Season is not that long ago but that title is about as asterisk'ed as one can get....I am of the opinion that Saban has a couple left in the tank but who knows. Joe Pa and Bobby Bowden certainly seemed to coach past the point where decorum would dictate that they step aside.

People need to calm the hell down. If Saban isn't in the playoffs, he's always right at the doorstep

If he had a few 8 win seasons consecutively, I think we would have something to chat about. It is so cringey when my fanbase and others act like he's on the way out.

Should we go ahead and give 2020 Florida the dreaded asterisk too?

No I think subsequent outcomes post 2020 SEC CG are asterisk enough for Florida....
