Patton, here's what I'm saying... and it may not even happen, but it is possible that when Saban leaves, the next coach may not produce the same success. That's all I'm saying. It happens sometimes. No reason to throw up the Bama Wiki Championship page.

I didn't know thats what we were arguing about
But couldn't that argument be used for every school everywhere.

All I can say is ask people who aren't AU or UA fans and see which ones they think better of.

I bet the answer was the opposite during the Shula and Tubberville era.

When any team has a run like Bama has had under Saban they are hated. When we are not the most hated it will mean we are no longer the premier team.

I just made a point that Bama could see bad years when Saban leaves. That Bama had some years in between Bryant and Saban that weren't that great, and all the sudden I got blasted. Not being hateful, just talking.

I don't hate your football players. Why would I?

Loud Noises! There does not exist a metric in which Auburn has more success in any major sport over Bama. This leads to threads about non - existent class distinctions, etc. Good times..

The fact that you actually think a football team makes me insecure is in fact what makes me better than you. It's priorities, and why bama fans keep making the national news for flying monkee attacks, poisoning shite, sticking their nuts on other men's faces, shooting at their kids and stabbing numerous people all in the name of a football team. That is fact in why not only are Auburn fans different than bama fans, it's why every fanbase is. Embrace your Jerry Springer.

When you have posted over 33,000 times on a board devoted mainly to football your argument seems specious.

I'm not comparing Bama and Auburn. Why are you?

What don't you people understand? All I said, and it's a fairly obvious concept, is that football programs may decline when a super successful head coach leaves. Bama fans would not handle it well. At the mere mention of this, Bama fans went a little apeshit and started spouting all kinds of crap on the last couple of pages. That's all I was saying. Not a big deal.

There's many other boards here not related to football, but I see your point.

Sorry, just being contrarian now.

I've posted on this site for 8 years about much more than AU/Bama comparisons. As hard as it may seem to comprehend, there is much more out there than crimson tide football. I post frequently on many different boards on here that interest me. That includes NFL, NBA, MLB, PGA, and yes even the OT Lounge. Stop proving my point and thinking life revolves around Saturday football providing relevance to your otherwise inconsequential life.
