I honestly believe so, or else he’d be back. He hasn’t got offered any position in the SEC either, so why would it be HC?

Yes. No one can ever consider having him coach for their program.

Sorry.

Saban was considering hiring him as an analysts, but Sankey said no.

I sure hope so (until Kelly retires and he is unblacklisted).

I believe the rumor is that both he and Petrino are blacklisted.

I mean most schools are run by a bunch of overly-corporate liberal morons who are scared to make bold moves because everything is some end-of-the-world big deal that they’re scared could cost them their cushy jobs. There isn’t a single admin in the SEC that will put themselves on the line to hire Freeze.

It has nothing to do with him being blacklisted, the people who are overseeing the hiring are just narcissists who are obsessed with their own images and careers, actual results be damned. Which is funny, because he’s one of the only coaches in the country that I’d actually worry about joining the SEC

Yes, there are a lot of coaches who a program would be "strongly advised" against hiring.

Among them are Freeze, Art Briles, Bo Davis, and Bobby Petrino.

According to SEC bylaws, a program would have to consult with the commissioner prior to even making an offer to one of them.

He is but he shouldn't be forever IMO. A 10 year ban , maybe, but not for life. I mean people do change and 10 years is a long time.

Sankey has already said he won't prohibit any school from hiring Freeze.

Yep.

I’ve said it several times on here. It wasn’t the paying players shite that is why. It’s because of the hookers (some of which were under 18) that were transported across state lines for recruits (some of which were under 18). It almost (and probably should have) resulted in an FBI investigation for sex trafficking. The rumor is that some of these “parties” were recorded by various recruits/players/administrators and it featured some of these under 18 participants which technically is considered creating child porn.

Lol. Keep thinking that matters in this case. He says this because he would have to give a reason for denying it and given that no other coach caught paying players ever got “banned for life” what would be his reasoning for banning Freeze for life. His lifetime ban AINT FOR PAYING PLAYERS.

Good to know you are ok with sex trafficking minors.

I dunno man. The SEC took a major black eye and I believe may have even covered for him in some ways. It’s widely assumed those escorts were for recruits. If true, Sankey knows about that, and there’s no coming back from something like that. Regardless, I think Sankey is well aware that the recruiting shadiness extended much further than what was found by the NCAA.

How do you know he hasn't been offered but he just preferred to stay at Liberty?

Because he can’t technically prohibit any school from hiring any coach they want, outside of an NCAA show cause. These schools are, however, required to consult him before making any hire.
