Against hurry up offenses cramping really is an issue.

It's not at 99% of places. Injuries happen.

yeah injuries do happen...but you can tell most of the time when a cramp comes on late in a close game...id say about half of them aren't really injuries

I'll post this now because I'm sure LSU is going to get a lot of hate in this thread. The LSU defensive staff instructs players to go down and wait for the trainers if they have a minor injury (stinger, bell rung, etc.) that would cause them to have to be subbed out for the next play. Since the hurry up offense doesn't allow the player to go to the sideline to sit out a few plays, this is the response from the LSU coaching staff to get injured players off of the field.

As they should.

Mid-major cheating tactics have no place in the SEC. Funny how Bama never had a problem with cramping against our offense.

Pretty sure all schools do this. If they don't they should.

Sorry the A&M offense has to take advantage of players that need to go to the sideline.

There's a difference between an injured player letting the trainers take him off and actively signaling in from the sideline for players to take a dive.

Watching a college-level scholarship athlete go down like he got shot several seconds after the play is just embarrassing.

Funny how the swamp kitties and Florida had the most "cramps" amongst all the teams we played

Admittedly, Florida was worse.

Link?

Whatever makes you feel better. What I find embarrassing is a team's offensive success being based on having defensive players on the field that need to sit a few plays due to injury.

UGA runs a HUNH fairly regularly during games and I have no problem with other teams "faking" injuries (I think fans that claim a player is faking an injury are low level trash deserving of an arse-kicking, but that's just me. Gary Danielson thinks such fans are "sophisticated").

The Hurry Up offense is a gimmick to gain an advantage no different than "faking" would be a gimmick to level the playing field.
