Sorry I won’t suppress facts. I’m contacting the SEC to express my concern about the safety of A1abana athletes. Good day.

Even an idiot can be correct sometimes.
But mostly Wolken is a try hard.

Being obese is not the direct cause of covid-19 being worse
It’s what goes with being obese. Obese people normally are extremely unhealthy, have diabetes, hypertension, etc etc
College lineman as a whole are still in better shape and have better lung capacity etc than the average skinny person. They are outliers.
No medical expert worth a shite truly “wonders” about the safety of college and pro athletes as it relates to covid-19

The BMI scale has numerous flaws. Particularly when it comes to athletes.
It doesn’t take into account muscle mass and muscle weighs more than fat.

He makes a very good point.
Texas and A1abana are spiking. Those two states may have to shut it down again. No sports for them if it happens. Uh oh
Sure if we keep loving the goalposts.
The goal of the shutdown and all that was to “flatten the curve” and stop hospitals from being overwhelmed, not to eliminate the disease.
Sure there will be a spike cases once things open up but the only alternative is to shut everything down FOREVER

That is also true. BMI is completely worthless for college athletes. For example, Devin White is actually obese. Pretty much every single nfl linebacker is. Most running backs too
Derek Henry is also clinically obese with BMI

The mortality rate in healthy college kids is far less than 1%.
Players are more likely to get shot by their peers (or cops) than die from Covid.

In complete fairness, Dan may have a point here.
Trey Smith is already on blood thinners 5-6 days a week, and clotting has become an increasingly common side effect of the virus. Guys like him I would absolutely consider potentially high risk

But using “obesity” as the metric for pro and college football players is batshit retarded

The average college lineman has no more risk than the average college student as it relates to covid. In fact, they have less
They are in better shape than the average college student, AND, they get full medical evaluations that check for any potential unknown conditions that the average student does not
