Is Dabo wanting a raise or is he actually in talks with Auburn?

He has no reason to leave Clemson. He is basically the Jim Jones of that cult over there

It’s possible that Clemson has peaked and Dabo knows it. He also has to know that the revenue gap between Clemson and every SEC program is getting ready to widen annually by a significant margin.

Not saying there’s anything to this, but I can see where the logic is.

Dabo is a bammer to the core. I have a better chance of being the next AU HC than him. I guess maybe if you wanna believe he’s playing 4d chess and takes the job to build them up only to crush the AU faithful when he jumps ship to bama after Saban retires.

Like I’ve posted before, it’s not outlandish for a winning coach in a weaker conference to change jobs and come to the SEC.

Brian Kelly, although he isn’t nearly as established or as good of a coach as Dabo, left Notre Dame for LSU.

ETA: That being said, Dabo is Alabama to the core (as someone else said) and he has won multiple National Championships at Clemson…something Brian Kelly couldn’t do at Notre Dame.

This could very well drive him to the SEC. Not to mention he always gets annoyed with their fanbase being so demanding. Auburn fans have put up with years of mediocrity. He would have a statue built his first season.

If you're a shitty WAC/MEAC/CUSA coach, you have a pretty good shot.

Not really sure how you call a guy like Dabo overrated.

159-37 as a HC
6-4 in the CFBPlayoffs
2 National Championships
7 ACC Championships
10 ACC Atlantic Division titles

Overrated…LOL. Let’s go ahead and hear “wEaK cOnFeReNcE” excuse now.

Clemson has beaten Auburn, Alabama, LSU, South Carolina, Ohio State, Notre Dame, etc while he’s been there and he’s absolutely not scared to schedule an SEC team during the regular season.

Dabo is a fantastic fricking Head Coach.
