Considering they missed on Bottles when they desperately needed one. Now look at Bottles. He has a decent defense behind him he could win some games. Instead you lose 30-0 because you have no qb. Hurts but it hasn't hit JaRus status yet. He'll likely join him and Leaf soon though. Lol

The Jamarcus Russell draft was always baffling to me. He had never done anything in college.

Nothing to do with Clowney and his play thus far, but making the status as biggest bust of all time based on money is dumb. Jamarcus was drafted when teams were allowed to go full retard with money. Unless the NFL goes back to that policy, based on some of the comments I have read, it will be impossible to ever have a bust bigger than Jamarcus.

Weight-based this may be true though....

Not. even. close. JaMarcus was awful, fat and a drug addict. Clowney has been injured. He still has skills.

He's not as big of a bust, but for the moment he is indeed a bust.

When he is healthy and on the field he is flat out filthy, and that is something that Russell could never claim. That talent Clowney possesses keeps him from being a FULL bust.

but he has to stay healthy and therein lies the rub.

I want him to succeed, but it's not promising.

you can put lipstick on a pig, but in the end it's still just a pig.

The man has God given talent and he's a force when on the field and healthy. We know this.

We unfortunately know that he's not seen much of the field, so this is why he is currently a bust in my book. I'm not ready to write him off though.

Still not a bust. A bust is someone who just sucks.

Clowney's bad attitude was apparent in college. He may as well have sat out his Senior year. He just got so over hyped as a result of one big hit.

Uhh, he didnt stay for his senior year?

He had a pretty good college career, but his combine workout was the reason he was drafted so highly.
