What is the point in bringing McMahahon back even if you don’t get Wade. I feel like that’s way too much faith in one candidate to say oh no we can’t fire him now since our #1 candidate didn’t come to campus. I’m not the biggest Wade fan but they were winning while he was here. I’ll take that any day over what’s been the standard the last few years. Many coaches can improve what you have now regardless. I don’t understand the sentiment of running it back. I’m assuming this is certain boosters driving this and Wade is all they want.

I really think getting him back and bringing solidarity to the lineup. Could definitely help at this point.

I feel like this has happened every year for the last 4 years and at the end everyone forgot about it. I recall them getting run ruled by I think Nicholls at one point. I’m usually all for an underdog story but I almost don’t want IU to win due to them simply being a byproduct of the NIL era. Just doesn’t feel like a natural underdog. I know the are the favorite to win but they are simply an underdog based on history.

Couldn’t he unenroll and enroll at LSU? Wouldn’t that allow them to give him extra NIL on his contract to pay the buyout? That way it technically is paid by him and not LSU.
