re: What would it take for you to consider the hiring of Kiffin a bust?

Once settled in I’d say playoffs every other year at worst.

I’m not sure why simply SC isn’t used more. I know technically it is USC but I think USC I think Los Angeles not South Carolina. Is it meant to be an insult than a clarification? Honest question
re: Pete Golding continues to take shots at Lane

He’s not wrong. It’s corny as frick. He’s certainly could have taken the high road. But Lane is living in their heads now.
re: Will all of the Kiffin bailing on Ole Piss BS ever stop?!

Embrace it

The abbreviation game should have left with Brian Kelly along with the backwards “L.”

Why would Kiffin be talking to one of Knox’s friends about signing a player and admitting to tampering with. Nothing would happen but there is just too much about this that makes no sense. I say this is an OM fan/student just trying to generate more BS storylines. Tampering happens all the time but this situation is just too dumb.

It’s pretty favorable. Most of the toughest games are at home. Biggest road test is Tenn.

Wasn’t Stallions his right hand man? Would be a bad look to hire him back after that fiasco.
re: Why DeBoer to Michigan? What am I missing?

Dillingham’s name keeps coming up in all these coaching searches but we keep getting told by many he’s not leaving ASU. I doubt he leaves for Michigan but I don’t think there is any way he is still there after next season. Someone will provide him the tools he doesn’t have at ASU and I believe he goes.

Can we kill the CLK abbreviation before that becomes a thing while we’re at it? Simple Lane or Kiffin isn’t too much to spell out is it?
re: I'm fine if Baker leaves.

So he got beat by our new head coach (that’s why he’s here) and an outlier game. Why don’t we ignore the rest of the games where his defense was shut down and even gave this team a sliver of hope to win. Not to mention on the field in most cases 2/3 of the game.
re: Why are LSU fans giving Kiffin a pass already...lmao
Posted by DeathvalleyU on 12/5/25 at 6:15 am to IrishDave
Because even a blind man could see that was the peak and it was all down from there.

This whole situation looks better and better that LSU missed out on him. This is going to be every year until he is drafted.

Man I liked Jon Sumrall a few days ago.
re: They actually moved Ole Miss up in the CFP

Honestly just go back to the BCS with 12 team Playoff. BCS was flawed because it couldn’t always best determine the top 2 teams. BCS Top 12 couldn't be any worse than the flawed selection process now.
re: The rundown on Frank Wilson...
Posted by DeathvalleyU on 12/2/25 at 6:25 pm to lsufan0582
So if Wilson is not let go and a replaced in the next couple days we know this was BS. Which is what I would say it is but could be wrong. That would have to result in immediate firing imo.
re: Do we think Blake Baker is leaving for Tulane?
Posted by DeathvalleyU on 12/2/25 at 6:15 am to LSU4LIFE20
Hope he stays but I’d say it’s a 70-80 percent chance he’s gone. It’s worked out tremendously to be the last two coaches at Tulane and he’s an alum. If offered I don’t see how he could turn it down. I hope great things for Baker either way.

Weis Jr. looks like the Walhberg brother that no one knows existed.
re: Update on Penn State's vacancy...
Posted by DeathvalleyU on 12/1/25 at 9:26 pm to lsufan0582
This sounds like such a square peg round hole hire. It feels like he’s where he’s supposed to be. But he could very well succeed and would not hate for him to have success. Very likable
re: Selfishly I want Baker to stay.
Posted by DeathvalleyU on 12/1/25 at 8:42 pm to BrianKellysbuyout
Just so much good to baker staying with a great offensive push coming in. If he wants to skip that whole step of Tulane level job he could be in for a Power 4 job with a season to shine with a competent offense. But it makes total sense for him to be their next head coach and I think he will do a great job if he does go.
re: People on the national media are starting to sober up and defend Lane Kiffin
Posted by DeathvalleyU on 12/1/25 at 12:09 pm to The Baker
Dusty and Danny brought it up and basically said the mega national guys need to chill with the takes because the Sumrall and Morris situations are no different. Only difference is the ADs for their respective schools let them coach. If he’s allowed to coach I think it’s a lot more quiet today from the outrage standpoint.
He took more money and a better situation that most everyone that is bitching about it would take in a heartbeat. He’s being handcuffed to a one game guarantee as opposed to his future at LSU. It’s trivial to stay at that point.
