I could have sworn we let Landers go, but I can't remember.

He's not on the directory and someone said: "You were fired, let it go."

I was googling it after I made that post and I only see articles about him being hired as player development. So its entirely possible he not on staff anymore.

Florida might wanna talk to their staff about how they're gonna address this on social media. This doesn't seem to be the best available approach.

It was Grimes but agree with the rest.

Nah, he's not on staff anymore. I remember there was a rumor a while ago he was let go (he wasn't really an important piece to the staff) but I just couldn't remember if it was official.

He was our "Cali" recruiter, and well, we've seen how that endeavor has gone.

Seems like Mullen is bringing back the Meyer era of cover ups, but players aren’t so ok with it anymore

If I were at UF I'd be telling him to amend his bio to reflect that immediately. He still lists himself as a member of player development.

"Sources have confirmed @ZachAbolverdi’s report: Chris Steele is transferring because he was freaked out by his roommate Jalon Jones’ behavior, and Florida refused to accommodate his request to swap dorms until the summer."

I'm really kind of tired of ambiguous stuff, though. What I hate about Florida reporting is that they're all really scared to tell the truth about either side.

What I mean is, to have access to Florida rumors and news (this is being reported by a guy who makes his bread by reporting on Florida) they have to play ball. So what we end up getting are these reports with all of the information cut out of it.

Freaked out by what? Did he tell the staff or not that the dude was raping people? What exactly was said?

Either way, this is bad for the staff but I'm just waiting for some actual, real clarification on what went on.

I don't think anyone will get much in the way of clarification given the nature of Jones' issues. Steele could say something I guess, but UF absolutely can't.

That's why it's so frustrating. People ask to be relocated all the time, and if he just said: "I don't get along my roommate" it makes all the sense in the world to not immediately transfer him during the semester. However, and I'm being deadly serious about this:

If Steele told our staff that Jalon was sexually assaulting people and he didn't feel comfortable in the situation, we need a new Head Coach. I said it, Gator fans can hate me, but if there is any indication that this was being swept under the rug or the staff did not listen or investigate this any deeper then we need to move on and fire Dan Mullen.

Maybe he requested a room change but didn't report exactly what was going on? If he didn't give a good enough reason for switching rooms, that might explain why they didn't address that situation.

Not wanting to room with someone who can get you into deep legal trouble is definitely an “all about me” attitude.

He could have easily gotten caught up in this, the girls could have said he didn't do anything, didn't report anything and he's just as fricked as Jalon is right now.

It's literally in the post itself.

Man, I knew the SEC Rant was a place for absolute fricking morons, but I didn't know multiple people were illiterate.

Keep dreaming up excuses for your team falling apart. Surely it has to be the kid who wants to stay out of trouble for all this drama. I mean, how selfish of him to not want to room with a pervert and potentially be caught up in drama the rest of his career at that trailer park you call a university.

This probably what actually happened. He (Steele) didn't want to tell on a teammate and be labeled a snitch, but wanted to ditch Jones badly. I can't imagine the coaching staff knew what was going on.

This is the best day ever. No, when those orange inbreeds hired Jim Cheney that was the best day ever but this is a very close second.

I thought Dan was the savior and all that. You think his recruiting was bad, wait until this gets told to every parent of a UF recruit.

How does it go?

How can Florida “close the gap” in recruiting if the best players in their “gap-closing” class can’t even make it the summer workouts?
