Having to be in the same region as a bunch of hairy-legged women and the People's Republic of Austin
Also SE Texas should be annexed by Louisiana

We don’t worry about ‘em.
They’re weird, and they do their own thing.
They’re just “that” neighbor, ya know—the one with 7 feral cats roaming around?
It’s all good.

"of course I forgot the panhandle, and a lot of people do"
best description of a state ever.

No, college station is part of central Texas. Technically East-central. East Texas Doesn’t begin until you get East of 45. Even then it’s a stretch.
Saying Cs is ETX is like saying Houston is south Texas. It’s a cultural thing.

Mileage from El Paso to Orange is about 855 miles.
Mileage from Lake Charles to Columbia is about 858 miles.
In other words Texas is about as long as the rest of the SEC. the geography varies.
So are Cajuns the same as Gamecocks? I don't think so but others may differ.

East Texas is traditionally everything east of I-45, though I’d argue most Texans use the term to represent specifically the piney woods area which really starts around Palestine/Tyler.

LOL at the map calling Houston-Galveston area “upper gulf coast”.
Literally no one calls it that.

From what I’ve heard anything in Texas west of Texas Hwy6, north of Snook, south of Hearn, and east of Caldwell is called this .......
