The way he dipped into the NFL for coordinators instead of chasing OC’s around the country was top tier. It was something no one was really doing before, and he was using his connections with the Saints to find Joe Brady.

How the heck was Orgeron at LSU able to beat Kirby at Georgia easy and BK at LSU wasn't able to beat Kirby at Georgia?

Like flies to shite, I can check on this board at any time of the day, every day, and see True Lefty posting about LSU athletics.

Does someone pay you to be a frothing retard on this board 24/7?

last two seasons with Brian Kelly .769 record (two bowl wins)
2023: 10-3
2024: 10-3

Are you sure about that? LSU went 9-4 this past season.

Ed O could cook a mean pot of red beans.

BK thinks mayonnaise is spicy.

Ed O - 3x BCS/NY6/CFP wins, 1x P5 Conference Title, 1x P5 Division Title, 1x D1 Championship

BK- 1x P5 Division title

No, not so much. Ogre coached perhaps the best team in college football history.

Kelly hasn't sniffed that.

It's kind of mind numbing that Ed Oregon got another head coaching job after being the worst coach in Ole Miss history. But he did end up winning a national title at LSU, while Kelly doesn't seem likely to do.

I know this is a troll job, but a pretty bad one.

In all honesty, Ed O was a pretty good coach from the time he got the job until he won the championship.
He reached the mountain top, and then lost all focus and began spending far more time chasing blonds than doing his job…. That was his downfall. He mailed it in, while living like a frat boy for the last couple years.

Credit Orgeron for bringing the pieces together but he wasn't going to replicate that success consistently, if ever again.

As for Kelly, I understand the logic of bringing him in. Pair his coaching with southeastern talent and in theory, he'd take the next step he could never seem to take at ND. Kelly has a much higher floor than Orgeron. If you're an lsu fan, you just have to hope you haven't already seen his ceiling.

Last season he actually went backwards even though the LSU defense has improved LSU still went 9-4 and unranked.

Hired really bad assistants

Agreed. And these are connected.

Prior to 2019, o was going out and trying to get quality assistants, and shooting to make big moves.
Matt Canada failed, but he was widely thought to be a great hire at the time.
When that failed, O was quick to cut him loose and try something new. Then bring in Brady…
My point is he was focused on finding the right combination.

After 2019, recruiting went down, hiring was shitty… O got divorced, started chasing arse. He let off the gas entirely.

Well, according to ol William Taylor Ed is much better...uh, apparently because with him coaching they actually bested UGA. That must be the only criteria that matters, to him anyway.

Oh, a lack of focus and a decline in diligence are very common symptoms of arse chasing.
