I think these guys have been better so far than Nkemdichie.
Joey Bosa-DE-Ohio State
Su'a Cravens-S/LB-USC
Laremy Tunsil-OT-Ole Miss
Vernon Hargreaves-CB-Florida
JT Barrett-QB-Ohio State
Kendall Fuller-CB-Virginia Tech
Alex Collins-RB-Arkansas
Jalen Ramsey-DB-Florida State
Ezekiel Elliott-RB-Ohio State
He'd probably be in the next tier, with these guys
Eddie Vanderdoes-DT-UCLA
Laquon Treadwell-WR-Ole Miss
Tyler Boyd-WR-Pittsburgh
Marquez North-WR-Tennessee
A'Shawn Robinson-DL-Alabama
Derrick Henry-RB-Alabama

VH3 is easily the best player from that class

As Freshmen Chris Jones was better, but he regressed this year while Nkemdiche didn't. I look for Jones to catch back up this year.

Look for Robert's number to jump way up playing a lot in the DE slot

He's not even the best player in the OM class. That would be Treadwell, IMO.

How does Tre White get from #9 on 247, 18 on Rivals to 186 on ESPN? He's definitely LSU's best player from that class.

exactly- what the hell is every offensive coach that plays Ole Missus watching before they play them? The Ole Missus defense- and lots of it.
And how did that work out for Muffins Coach....and has he slept yet?

Lol. Joey Bosa is a better player. And Tre White isn't far behind Hargreaves, and he isn't injury prone.

A lot of the AP guys have no idea what they are watching but they at least a lot of them take time and pride in their votes
A lot of the AP guys vote for the all americans in every single conference. Their opinions on players largely come down to hype (bingo) and a couple highlights. If you think they realistically have a more (or even equally) educated opinion than *whomever* is filling out coaching polls, you're kidding yourself.

He arguably isn't even the best player from that class on his own team. Laquon Treadwell is also in that class.
It is also worth noting some other names:
Vernon Hargreaves and Tre White have been starting boundary corners since they stepped on campus for their respective schools.
Chris Jones and Montravius Adams each registered 3 sacks last year.
Ricky Seals-Jones was a Top 30 SEC receiver and Alex Collins was a Top 5 SEC RB.

might be Joey Bosa
I got laughed out of a thread about the best players in college in the middle of the season when I named Bosa.

Dude is a beast. How many sacks he had this year?

13.5. His little brother is supposed to be better and seems to huge lean to Ohio State at this point. Their uncle was an AA linebacker at Ohio State.

He and tunsil will get drafted higher than any LSU player in the draft next year
where he's drafted and how impressive he's been in college are two entirely different things. i have no doubt he'l be a top 10 pick in next year's draft, but that doesn't mean he's been one of the highest producing players in college football. For instance, Jake Locker was a top 10 draft pick. His numbers in college were highly average.
