Just look at past statements about "family";

You must hate all the Alabama ad campaigns about the “Alabama family”.

At Ring Night, the rings are left on the Auburn seal from 1856, or 6:56 PM, until the current graduation year. This symbolizes the rings absorbing all of Auburn’s history from founding to present. This also means that the rings are placed under the curse of the seal. A few days later at the Ring Ceremony, the student dips their ring in water from the President’s fountain which removes the curse, but leaves the Auburn spirit behind to live on in the ring and in the heart of its owner forevermore. Ring recipients conclude the traditional ceremony by placing the cleansed ring on their finger with the words “Auburn University” facing inward. After graduation, the new alumni turn the ring to show the world that they are a proud official member of the Auburn family.

Cult? You don’t say.

On April 3, chimes will sound at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Alma Mater. The Army ROTC will place a big mahogany box of nearly 500 rings inside the 115-foot tall, 90-year-old bell tower at 6:31 p.m. The time of day is significant because 6:31 p.m. is 18:31 in military time, and 1831 is the year the University was founded. “Denny Chimes will be locked and UPAD will guard the rings overnight,” Cowdery said. In those 24 hours that the rings wait inside of Denny Chimes, they become “infused with the UA spirit,” he said.

Yeh, it’s a bit embarrassing, but not nearly as involved as Auburn’s. Doesn’t involve curses as far as I know. I certainly didn’t do it when I graduated.

But you never hear a cult act like that. Maybe a 16 year old girl, but a cult says “we love our illustrious leader” in unison . RTR and Go Tigers.

Auburn loves their bagmen

But they will not talk trash if they are losing. They are respectful when losing - unlike Arkansas fans; we will talk trash with our heads locked in the guillotine
