that is a really really bad take
Why? Texas A&M sucks.

Aggie vs Arkansas has been close for years. I would take that game lightly. Auburn is a good football team.

They’re good but not great.

See Auburn’s win vs Texas A&M who almost lost to Arkansas. That’s your answer.
First off, you are using the transitive property of football which never works… If that was reliable, we would all consider North Carolina to be a national championship contender, or Clemson to be a bottom dweller. Secondly, Auburn manhandled Texas A&M… A couple of late scores by Texas A&M and Mond playing out of his mind when Auburn clearly believed the game was over and took their foot off the gas doesn’t change that.

The fact is the top 6 is good and not great. UGA hasn’t played anybody and let a meh Vandy and ND team hang around.

Auburn is good but not that good. MSU is bad but not that bad.

Little of both. The QBs make the difference. States new QB is better than what they had but still made freshman mistakes and that hurt them. Plus all the plays Auburn made and mistakes State made starting the game put Auburn up and the pressure on State.
As for Auburn, they got back 2 key WRs and Nix threw the deep ball good for the first time all year (he didn't even against the cupcakes). That makes a huge difference when Auburn has a passing game too.

and Auburn handled A&M pretty easily. They got some points and stats in the second half, when Auburn went to a zone D, but that game was over at the beginning of the third quarter.

But was that MSU being terrible,
Yes, absolutely so.

or Auburn being potentially much better than expected?
Probably not.

Kylin Hill is a good running back & Schraeder is going to gash your defense. That being said if you force him to throw to the perimeter it’ll be over after the first quarter. He’s decent with the slants but if he has to go over the top or on the edge that’s not part of his skill set right now.

I saw a stat line yesterday that the game has been decided by 7 points 6/7 meetings. That may not be exactly what it said but seems about right

I honestly think the Georgia fans took that loss harder than the Miss St fans. The majority of negativity is coming from bitter UGA fans and I cannot figure out why.
