Beat them in football. Check.

Split with them in b-ball. Check.

I'll take it.

I read it as "most talented #1-5 players" as in most talented starters, not most talented 1 win and 5 loss team.

Got ya.

Was easy for people to take shots at Cal for not winning more championships with 5 star Freshman. Arkansas fans are learning it’s not so easy.

Bunch of AAU dudes who can’t shoot. That’s all they are.

Or, some of us knew that five 5-star freshmen was never the right way to go.
That's why some of us Arkansas fans knew Muss was making a mistake. We were just shouted down for saying it.
Muss' success so far has been mixing, basically, one freshman one-and-done player with a bunch of upper-classmen and graduate transfers.
That's the recipe for collegiate success nowadays, and has been for a few years now.

Very hit or miss. The one and done schools had the most wins over the last 10-12 years of any schools outside of Gonzaga so it can work. Just a tough strategy to switch to if you’re not used to it. When you get 18 year olds, you gotta do more than just teach plays. Also, not all 5 stars are the same. Many are ranked that high only bc they were so much more athletic than other HS kids

Muss put all his hope in a bunch of freshmen and failed.

He should have loaded up on juniors and seniors from the portal. That is what he did the last two years and they mixed well with the freshmen.

Now this team has growing pains in player development not seen in the Muss era.

The level of competition that these highly rated players came out of was much easier than in college right now. So they are struggling to adjust.

They may have more potential than a lot of players but if they aren't fully developed yet then faced with experienced teams means trouble just like tonight.

Just wait. They are waiting for Tourney time. That's when they always shine. In Muss we trust.

Smith is no longer even showing up to sit on the bench and support his team while he's "injured".

Either them or state.

State has played Tennessee twice, Alabama, Georgia and Auburn. UT blew us out one game but the others were fairly close. Lost to Bama by 11 where we missed a ton of FTs, Auburn by 6 where we went 0-18 from 3, Georgia by 8 where we shot 7-22 from FT.

Our schedule starts to get easier next week so we will see. Need to beat UF Saturday. Our FT and 3 shooting has improved lately so hopefully that holds

Arkansas had a size and athletic advantage over Missouri. They got destroyed on the boards.

However Missouri has more experience and are developed with players from the portal. They forced Arkansas into committing stupid fouls and turnovers. Missouri got four Arkansas players to foul out.

It helps that Arkansas is a raw team that is terrible at shooting. The only way they can win now without an offense is play defense, cut down on the fouls, turnovers and win on the boards.

I had a bad feeling before the season began that this team would go through a lot of growing pains because this wasn't the typical Muss team.

I didn't believe Arkansas deserved to be ranked because they were given that based on potential but not actual results.
