We're having Thanksgiving a day later with some European friends and I've been asked to download a torrent of some college football games to introduce them to the game. I'd like to show them a great game, between two bigger name teams(not OU-BSU), with an exciting player.

I had been thinking about Bama-Auburn 2010 and A&M-Bama 2012, but have been struggling to find them on interwebs to download.

1. Suggestions on games?
2. Sites to download from?

Mizzou-Oklahoma 2010. It can easily be found on youtube. Not to mention pretty much any SEC football game from this year can also easily be found on youtube.

I spent about an hour last night perusing kat.ph, but I didn't find any of the games I was looking for with enough seeders.

I thought about youtube, but don't like the quality even with an HD version. Worst case, I'll bring my appletv/ipad, buy a game on ESPN on my ipad and stream it to the TV.

It's damn hard to find satisfying Bama losses these days, isn't it?

You folks are thinking about this all wrong. These are Europeans - soccer fans. Show them the 3-2 auburn/Ms State game and you'll have them hooked.

If you want to go with an LSU game...

LSU vs. Florida 2007

Two evenly matched heavyweights in the game of the year in a night game in Death Valley. A truly epic clash.

Don't show them an Alabama loss. That would give them a false impression of the game.

I'd suggest either the 2008 or 2012 SECCGs.

This is what I'd recommend. One of the most exciting football games anyone could ever watch.

Go to Youtube.com and have them watch the 2013 Outback Bowl, SCAR vs Michigan ... it's got one some say is the most controversial 22 seconds ever played in college football. LINK It's also just a well-played hard-hitting football game.

Source for the following description.

quote:

Twenty-two seconds in Tampa, and three reviews.

The entire series of events, three plays total, that encompassed "The Hit" are most noteworthy for the short amount of time that elapsed off of the game clock from beginning to end. A total of only 22 seconds ticked-off the clock from the time Michigan snapped the ball and executed the fake punt, until the time Ace Sanders caught the touchdown pass. With 8:28 remaining in the 4th quarter of the game, Michigan went for the fake punt. The spot of the ball was placed under review by the booth. Once the spot of the ball was confirmed, followed by the controversial first down call, "The Hit" occurred with exactly 8:21 remaining in the game and the clock was allowed to click-down to 8:15. After review in the booth to determine if Smith had indeed fumbled the ball before being ruled down, the Gamecocks took possession of the ball and on their first play Connor Shaw connected with Ace Sanders for a touchdown with 8:06 remaining in the game. Sanders' touchdown catch was also reviewed to confirm both that his foot was down in the field of regulation, and that he had possession of the ball, as he was tackled out of the back of the endzone. All three plays consecutive in the series having been placed under review in the booth and all three consecutive plays totaling a mere 22 seconds.
