If Dad and/or Cam and/or agent were soliciting money for Cam, Cam is ineligible from NCAA play.

Period, regardless of whether or not payment was made. Of course, it makes it a LOT worse for Auburn if payment was indeed made.

Regardless, Newton would be ineligible for a period of time TBD by NCAA.

Not to mention it is against federal law and they could go to prison for soliciting money.

holy cow this story just got interesting again

BINGO.

And Holy Cowbell, Saban just got a fully wrapped gift. Even if he loses to State this weekend, no one in Bama will care. Cam-Gate is the only story that matters. Everything else is irrelevant!

Even if NO money was paid, I believe he is on record as saying Cecil Newton was shopping around. That makes his dad an agent and makes Cam's amateur status go bye-bye.

Nope, Joe Schad spec talked about this on SC...asking for money is not illegal.

Auburn = better paycheck in 2 years.

Go look at the lesser known schools who had players drafted in the first round the last few years...

Frenso State, Delaware, Rutgers, South Florida, Idaho, Boise State, Northern Illinois, Troy, East Carolina, Central Michigan etc, etc.

It doesn't matter where you go to school... If you're NFL good, you'll be discovered.

We have at minimum a player becoming ineligible with all wins being vacated...that is the absolute minimum of what will happen here. The NCAA is not a court...they rule however they feel.

If Less Miles wasn't your coach, my son (assuming i had one and he wasn't a slow white guy like his father) would play for LSU.

it's not hard to imagine that Auburn gives you a better shot at the NFL. if neither school is paying shite, which school is better? i'll take auburn every day

How in the hell is this true? If you can play, you will get there. Hell, State's LT Sherrod is projected as the top offensive tackle for the draft this year.

That quote is dumb as shite

Are you serious? His dad asking for a pay to play deal? You're done. If...if this is true.

Yep, but there needs to be proof that he actually obtained money from AU or a booster. Right now, you've got a dad trying to get a payday, not that it was actually accomplished.

Which is NOT a violation.

Then Rogers says he was NOT involved with anything concerning AU. Good for AU since he is being investigated by the FBI.

Now, as we sit, there is still ZERO evidence against AU. Everything so far is about MSU. Yes we got Cam. Yes there has to actually be evidence of a payment for us to be in trouble. We will see if there actually is any evidence eventually.

Bill Bell? The one that I know of played at State in the early 80's so its the same guy.

Does he live in Destin?

The famous post by the TCU poster did mention that an MSU booster named Bill from Destin had tapes but I couldn't tell you if it is the same guy but I'll admit that it does give his post a lot more credibility.

This substantiates everything MSU has claimed from the beginning, including the phone call between Cam and MSU Recruiter.

No, it just proves that Kenny Rogers is now part of the Mullen/Meyer conspiracy to destroy Aubarn and Cam Newton.

You really shouldn't be dancing after some damning evidence about your team having this alleged meeting in Nov 2009 and not reporting it till 2010 AFTER MSU chose AU....MSU is FRICKED
You are a complete Moron. I'll say it one more time so slow people like you can understand. MSU reported this in JAN.! and the SEC didn't do anything about it until July. MSU was wondering why the SEC waited so long. MSU is 100% in the clear and Kenny Rogers even backed that along with Ian the guy that just interviewed Kenny. Pay attention Dummy!

Sorry to ruin all of your days, but asking for 1 million dollars and no money exchange hands will not make Cam newton ineligible....LOL...stop dancing people. Now if the coaches or booster handed Cam 20.00 dollars for a slurpee that would be bad
