wonder if Roger's attorney got his retainer up front for the slander suit that is probably being prepared as I type this?
IF cleared....
Cams dad has a case, but not Cam himself as he would be classified as a public figure.
They have to show an act of malice, basically that the person knew what they published was 100% false and just did it anyway

Look man it sucks, I feel for y\'all as fans I really do. BUT the time to accept reality is now...you can hate the messenger all you want but the facts are out there....and will be proven in some way soon enough. Time to deal with it.

I guess it really doesn't matter now, but Rogers story completely contradicts the interview he gave last friday. What a cock sack.
Actually, it doesn't really. He was adamant that he never spoke to John Bond regarding Cam Newton, in fact said he hasn's spoken to Bond in years. If you remember, that was the original story - Bond supposedly said Rogers solicited money for Newton - which is what he was denying last week.

Who was the AU middleman is the next question.
For the here and now, it doesn't matter.
If (big IF) there is a tape or some hard evidence that proves Cecil did in fact solicit money from MSU (or any school), then Cam is ineligible and Auburn has to vacate all their wins this season.
Aubarn can be completely innocent of any wrongdoing (other than playing an ineligible player) and it won't matter one bit for this season. You can't benefit from playing someone who should have been ineligible from day one.
And again, this is ONLY if the allegations can be proven.
But I think this allegation demands that the NCAA swiftly make some kind of determination about Cam's eligibility status.

You can sue for anything at anytime and the resulting defense costs money.
I would have never let my client go on the radio and say any of that shite even if it is 100% true. You do this in the comfort of your attorney's office once the FBI asks for an interview.

According to an article in the AJC, nothing has been done to the church. It's an empty building.

Kenny Rogers and Cecil Newton met with two MSU coaches and Cecil said it would cost between $100k - $180k to get Cam. Cecil said something about "Cam aint playing for free this time".
Kenny said he had no dealings with AU.

NCAA spokesperson Stacey Osburn told The Birmingham News by email that "the solicitation of cash or benefits by a prospective student-athlete or another individual on his or her behalf is not allowed under NCAA rules."
Not that anyone needs the NCAA to tell us this.
Guys, soliciting money from a school in recruitment is against the rules. All you need is common sense to know that, it's not some "obscure" rule that people aren't aware of.

We'll see about the hard evidence. That being said, and if there is some that renders him ineligible, I would gladly trade that to find out that AU did nothing wrong and won't be penalized.
