That's more of an indictment of the wilderness that has been the east. For a good stretch of that east teams not named Georgia were guaranteed two Ls each year.

Don’t need to. I have no idea what you guys are trying to prove but I hope Stoops did tell A&M no, even tho Josh Pate reported otherwise yesterday, and you guys win whatever it is you guys are trying to win on the internet or message board. I hope you can cash in you’re “I’m better than Aggies” into recruits or money or something.

There’s a bigger drop from #2 to #3 (21) than there is between #3 to #11 (18).

There’s also a bigger gap between #3 to #4 (10) than there is between #4 to #11 (8).

Not a lot of separation between the 4th best and the 4th worst; barely more than 1 win per season.

Then why did Bjork try to hire him away from UK?

I like the Elko hire but that is strange.

The thing that is the most confusing to me is how "awful" a lot of A&M folks seemed to think hiring Stoops would be but the same people are ecstatic at Elko?

I get that maybe they think Elko has a higher ceiling (based on what exactly I don't really know) and that they are familiar with him, but Stoops at a place where he can sign Top 10 classes everywhere could be a very good program. Is his ceiling lower than you might want? I can see that, but I can also see a guy who gets more explosive players and consistently wins 9-10 games.

Elko could do the same thing, but it's just weird how similar they seem to be style wise and all that and the total 180 in reactions to them. I mean Stoops and his staff (especially Marrow) have proven to be very solid recruiters. In the SEC, recruiting against tier 2 SEC programs and tier 1B B1G programs........outside their state. Elko's big conference recruiting chops are basically TBD.

I think it’s the illusion that Kentucky has been winning but most of their wins are vandy and ooc. They also say how terrible Louisville is, yet it’s typically their best win.

Weird I didn’t say that. Take away your 6 vandy wins and you drop to middle pack. Same could be said about A&M with Arkansas

Most teams don’t count bowl wins as seasons wins, which you do for his 10 win seasons. You’ll hear in a few weeks how bowls don’t matter.

Some say BK’s defense hasn’t been the same since Elko left him at ND. Lol I kid, but if he’s good enough for BK, he must be good right?

Aren’t those 2 wins from the same team?
