Did I read that wrong, or did the Alabama poster leave out 1-9-12? This season has really erased that shitty night! Thank God!

We're all still waiting for LSU to cross the 50. It will never be erased.

So who's right here? Someone has too many toes and fingers I think. If you're gonna talk about titles and such at least get the total right.....

Can't really argue with this post. OU has really stunk it up these last 3 years.

You conveniently left off OUs history (47 game winning streak, 7 National titles, 7 Heisman trophy winners), but tracking all.

OU is a blue blood and very well deserves criticism their way. Interesting is 3 OU players are playing in the super bowl, and a Big 12 QB has put the NFL on notice.

dont think so. recruiting (or lackthereof) catches up with you quick in the SEC. OU would be 4th or 5th most talented team in the SECW right now.

This is meant to be funny - basically an "If Alabama counted national titles if they counted them the way Alabama counts them."

OU would be top 3 year in year out in the SEC-W. In a rebuilding year they’d be fourth consistently.

Congrats?

You're saying you'd be about the level of Auburn? I actually agree with that assessment.

The difference is that because of the lower competition level, you get to make the playoffs/BCS title game and get waxed on a regular basis whereas Auburn gets to stay home.

It isn't your fault that the rest of the B12 sucks. What IS your fault is how your fans build themselves up every season only to get kicked in the nuts come post season.

LSU did make it to the Bama 32 yard line. The drive ended with a fumble back around the 50. Not much of a consolation, but the never crossed the 50 yard line is a myth.

Cut and paste from ESPN.com See the Play by Play text.
1st & 10 at 50 (note: 4th quarter)
(7:53 - 4th) Jordan Jefferson rush for 18 yards to the Alab 32 for a 1ST down.

1st & 10 at ALA 32
(7:23 - 4th) Michael Ford rush for a loss of 3 yards to the Alab 35.
2nd & 13 at ALA 35

(6:56 - 4th) LSU penalty 5 yard False Start on Chris Faulk accepted.
2nd & 18 at ALA 40

(6:27 - 4th) Jordan Jefferson pass incomplete to Spencer Ware.
3rd & 18 at ALA 40

(6:21 - 4th) Jordan Jefferson pass incomplete to Jarvis Landry.
4th & 18 at ALA 40

(6:15 - 4th) Jordan Jefferson sacked by Dont'a Hightower for a loss of 10 yards, fumbled, forced by Dont'a Hightower, recovered by Alab Nick Gentry at the 50 yard line.

When OU and Stoops won it all in 2000, I thought they were going to go on a NC run similar to what Bama did the last decade. And with the Big XII being what it is, it’s pretty surprising that they didn’t.

To be fair, they almost did. Just couldn't win that big one (against teams not named Texas) throughout the next 4 years.

They only had four total losses in 2001 and 2002 and one of those was @No. 1 Nebraska, and two of the other three are what totally kickstarted Les Miles career.

03 and 04 were some of the greatest OU teams ever, especially 03, but as discussed in the OP, they faltered down the stretch.

No he did not leave it out. We are 2 and 1 in BCS champ games. We are 2 and 0 in CFP games. So 4 and 1 overall.

I don’t know if Oklahoma is a bad team. In fact they clearly are not. Their record speaks for itself. They come out of a weak conference. LSU Bama Auburn Florida and Georgia play two or three CFP quality teams/games each season, Oklahoma would improve if they played in a tougher conference.
