However, the Big 12 is just as good as the SEC.

I think year to year, the elite 1-2 SEC teams are ahead of the top Big 12 teams. And, it generally is not very close.

But, the mid- to lower thirds of each conference really are about the same.

The SEC seems to have more parity on the upper end as a handful of teams ebb and flow out of the top third and real championship contending/worthy teams. But, the Big 12 lacks that. It is virtually OU and the rest since 2009 when it was at least OU and UT occasionally on the upper end.

And with the book on Clemson being out, stop the run and press to limit short passing, they will also hit a wall when faced with truly elite speed on defense.

Lawrence is an above average college QB who struggles with accuracy when the windows tighten up. See last 2 games he played. They will roll through the ACC again only to get dominated by an elite defense come postseason.

We're all still waiting for LSU to cross the 50. It will never be erased.

LSU crossed the 50 in that game. This is a myth.

They have had three straight top ten classes. Different years they were ahead of AU Lsu and A&M. They have had enough talent that don't have to take a back seat to anyone except Bama.

Like I’ve said before:

Oklahoma earns the right to get embarrassed in the Playoffs.

Interesting when you see it like that.

Amongst other things it shows how difficult it is to win it all. 12 years felt like a long time for me, but it really isn’t when you put it in some perspective.

don’t know if Oklahoma is a bad team. In fact they clearly are not. Their record speaks for itself. They come out of a weak conference. LSU Bama Auburn Florida and Georgia play two or three CFP quality teams/games each season, Oklahoma would improve if they played in a tougher conference.

We were certainly the tallest midget this past CFP playoff. Unless you wanted back-to-back losses by GA to LSU or oversees Bama who was better but beat no one, what other options were there?

And to the comment about our defense, the players/schemes would be different if they played in the SEC. Imagine Auburn or any non-2019 LSU playing 9 Big 12 teams. The play style was very different until recently.

Oklahoma was also consistently better than Texas during their mack brown years. Stoops owned the big xii with the occasional texas conference title team.

OU would be top 3 year in year out in the SEC-W. In a rebuilding year they’d be fourth consistently.
So you would be the same as A&M? I can believe that.

This is garbage analysis dude. Clemson is really good. they didn't get exposed in the natty, they came up against the only team in the country that was better. don't discount how insanely good this LSU team was. Nobody else could do to Clemson what LSU did.

However, the Big 12 is just as good as the SEC.

The Big 12 is the third best conference behind the SEC and B1G. What does that say about the PAC12 and ACC.

The AAC had more top 25 teams than the B12, PAC12 or ACC.
