Also, before we anoint any class as the "greatest 25 man class in the history of recruiting", let's see them on the field first.

The last time UGA was good recruiting wasn't really a thing yet so they tend to take it serious.

Only a coonass would label a couple of starters as busts.

If being a starter negates a 1st rounder from being a bust then when is the last time LSU put out a 1st round bust, Jemarcus Russell?

How can ANY player that's started for 3 years or more in the NFL be considered a bust? That's just ridiculous!

You do realize all these teams start their 1st rounders because of what is invested of em right?

Did The teams that picked Fluker and Warmack keep them around?

I hope you're just making a poor attempt at humor...for your sake.

If LSU wasn’t poor, they could provide slightly used Saturns or some other comparable autos to their players.

I hate that I laughed at this, but it was funny....and true

Being a first rounder guard you should be more than an average guard

So if you are a first *rounder* CB you should be more than average too, right?

Maurice Claiborne says hi.

Well the general perception of Claiborne is that he's a bust but since Bama fans wanna make the rules on what's a bust and what's not to fit their narrative then I guess Claiborne isn't a bust

Their rules change when it serves them. Instead of admitting a majority of their 1st rounders are bust or play well below the draft expectations they change the rules to make all the other teams busts not bust either.

Kinda looks like Bama recruits outperform other recruits in terms of being drafted high, then it also looks like Bama player outperform other players in terms of production for 1st rounders. This isn't us changing the rules, this is us pointing out how false your narrative has been all along.

horseshite!

Personally, I don't give a shite what they do at the pro level as long as they perform while on Bama's roster and keep the machine running for this dynasty. Collecting NFL first rounders helps the "Built by Bama" brand and adds fuel on the recruiting trail.

It's damn sure a better alternative than watching your team tally up FIVE 1st rounders in the last decade.

That chart is so misleading. You can't compare bust rate and pro bowl rate when you are comparing 237 to 18 c'mon now

It's no more misleading than the narrative some of you peddle that Bama has a higher bust rate than other schools. As a percentage, Bama has a lower rate. In volume, they may have more (Trent, Milliner) but that's due to having more go in the 1st round.

You do realize that Alabama has next to nothing to do with how well a player performs after they graduate. It's the team that drafts them and the organization behind them. Case in point Mark Ingram.

You were foaming at the mouth calling him a bust. Yet now he has been to back to back Pro Bowls and is universally hailed as one of the best backs in the league. What changed? Nothing one his part. He had the same drive and determination he always had. The only thing that changed was the Saint's HC realized it's not illegal to run the ball.

Bama led the league in Pro Bowlers the last 3 seasons. They will again this year.

Where’d Rabern go? He went silent for some reason.

Maybe just maybe fans keep hearing from the media that Bama players are the best at producing pro and then when their teams picks a DJ Fluker they get underwhelmed.

For the record I don't think Bama players are bust, I don't think they're anything extraordinary either. There players are no different than players coming from Ohio state, LSU, and Florida. I think Bama players getting picked so high hurts them because it rises expecatation.
