all of the players are good. Bama’s offensive scheme just allows Tua to do less work and easier work while still scoring a frick ton of points.

Sometimes the best way to protect your QB is to go empty. Counter intuitive but it works.

What is never mentioned is that Tua is the favorite to win the Heisman and Bama is a 10 1/2 point favorite against L8U.

Problem is if teams call your bluff your QB gets blown up

Wisc RB is not winning the Heisman. Wont even get invited. It will be the 3 or 4 QB's. Fields would have to be average the rest of the way. Hurts would have to have more turnover games that may cost a win. Those two just dont have many marquee games where the win is not guaranteed to overcome average games. Tua and Joe are locks to be there. Winner comes down to Ala-LSU game. Period.

? So wait LSU couldn’t score a point against bama last year. And now it’s the scheme that gives bama the advantage? Cmon now. It’s because tua has already proven he can bomb down the field and defenses are giving him the short stuff instead.

Projections and media perception vs facts and figures...
...hmmmm..

It’s pretty obvious that whoever wins the game on the 9th will likely be the favorite. So arguing over it now is pretty pointless

That’s what you got out of it? Wow. Figures. The point being the scheme change has benefited LSU far more than Alabama

Especially against trash DLs and those depleted by injury.

Fixed.
If the D rushes 5, somebody's open.
...probably in the middle of the field.
...running a slant route.
Live by the slant, die by the slant, Alabama, we comin'...

They are good. That’s what makes him look better than what he is

Haven’t thought about it like that, good point though!

I know that you are trolling about Tua throwing a lot of slants this year, but I fricking LOVE all of the slants. Teams simply cannot stop it. Tua to Devonta on a slant that goes 50 yards for a touchdown is a thing of beauty. I can't get enough of it.
Yep, I've been waiting for years to have a QB who can throw slants like this.
Funny how suddenly they are bad. I wonder if there is an outside factor at work here.

Tua's receivers do all the work for him.
