This has been my only issue with our move to the SEC. We've been in the league for well over a decade and my Ags have never visited Commonwealth. That's damn near criminal.

And yet, still won't come to Kentucky until 2028. It's absurd.
I hope that after this ridiculously long delay, the SEC office has the grace to schedule our game during the Keeneland Fall meet. I made the trip to Lexington for baseball in 2019, and look forward to going back.

There are people that think the world is flat and we didn't land on the moon too.

A&M is loud as frick because it's over 100k but we have the largest student section in college football, almost 40k and they are actually in decent seats. We don't stick a few thousand in the end zone.

Sip games are like going to an NFL game, way too many folks are just Austin business folks taking out clients.

Notice how I referenced College Station , you're focused on the stadium.

Yea Kyle Field is loud , the city is basically a truck stop otherwise.

what's the best way to get to college station? I'll be flying and Austin/Houston look somewhat equal distance from CS.

When looking for lodging is there any main hotel area on/near campus or do we need to look for a few (or more) miles away?

Fly into either and stay there instead. The drive to College Station is easy. We do it from Houston 3-4 times a year and never stay.

took 15 years, but Georgia is finally set to play A&M for the first time as an SEC opponent (maybe ever?) in College Station in 2027.

Good to finally see it.

When is the last time your forever Gators have been to Auburn?

I have never went to a game out there but from what I understand it can get very very loud.

Went to my first game there last year. It's incredibly loud, and their fans are very engaged! It was hotter than a *&*%^* and fans stayed until the end, despite thumping the shite out of us.

To be fair...this was always a destination I thought would be meh...I was wrong, and would highly encourage anyone to check it out. From an outsiders perspective it's also fun, and a bit strange watching those coordinated yells.

Fly wherever you find the best deal. IAH to College Station is a pretty easy drive now that they have the Aggie Expressway done.

College Station has historically sort of been a suburb in search of a city, but that's changed somewhat recently. If you want to stay somewhere within walking distance of Northgate, I would recommend The George or Cavalry Court (owned by the same group, and both located at Century Square). Kyle Field is similar to Sanford Stadium in one respect, and that is being located away from the bar district on the edge of campus, and not close to many hotels (just the on campus hotel).

It would be. Its a longer trip from Boone, NC....but of course App State did not get their arse beat and its far less likely that UGA will....

UGA and ATM have split 6 games, 3 and 3. ATM won three from 1950-54 by an average score of 20-11, beating UGA teams that were nearly .200 under the programs historical winning % at the time....categorically down years for UGA. UGA has won 3 since 1980 by an average score of 35-11. In the 3 games since UGA has beat ATM when ATM had a winning % almost exactly the same as their program has had in the entirety of its history....so ATM won 3 against historically poor performing UGA teams while UGA beat ATM teams who performed about on par with their historical performance. By a substantially higher margin of victory....

Get the frick outta here w/you lame arse fast and loose use of historical winning percentages so you can jerk off to UGA.

Who cares? When you can hit the 130s on the decibel meter and get repeated off sides and mass frustration from your opponents you have enough noise. No need for loud speakers or pumping in noise like UTk and A&M feel necessary to do.

Things seem to have taken a downward turn for the Aggies since the 1950s. I don’t know about the 50s as I wasn’t alive then. I do know that every time I have seen the Dawgs play the Ags, Georgia has won.

A&M doesn't pump in noise and certainly doesn't need to. Like I said they have 40k students in decent seats and over 100k attending. Very few people attend who aren't connected to the school as well because of the location, it's not a business/social gathering.

Sips like to say it is pumped in because their stadium is generally a big social scene where they occasionally cheer on a big play. Oh, and the feel of the place is more artificial than Sweet and Low. Hanging out at Scholtz's and being in Downtown is fun. I'll also give them an edge on food (food at Kyle sucks). The game experience itself has every artificial "Make some noise" graphic and whistle imaginable as they are trying to keep their fans from dreaming of their their late night plans at Oil Can Harry's.

Georgia has won recent games, I even went to that craptastic game at the Independence Bowl which has to be the worst Bowl stadium in the country.

Never played at Kyle though, should be fun.
